  • Akiba’s Trip & Dragon Quest VI are the ones I’m going for this week, Akiba’s Trip I already preordered so it should arive soon, as for Dragon Quest I have to go out this weekend so I can buy it at Gamestop.
I thought about buying L.A Noire too, but I’m still not sure if the game is worth, probably wait for some reviews, same for DOA and I honestly don’t have much money this month. >_<

    • [The Hunter] Doomrider

      Knock yourself out!

I ended up pre-ordering it. I wanted to NOT spend more money, but…

      •  Damn, these are some high scores! >_<
Same here, but now I have no other choice…!

But LA Noire is basically like GTA but with a good story and characters; what’s not to like. Considering Akiba’s Trip is the flip side of that with Anime wackiness in a free roam GTA like environment; you get the best of both worlds with both games.

      • You have a point, I still have a coupon of 60€, seems I’m going to use it for L.A. Noire.

      • LA Noire is a Point and Click Adventure in a Sandbox.
Just that the Characters aren’t half as good as in either GTA or the general Point and Click Adventure back in the 90s. So, I think nothing is really likeable about it, besides being the first big budget point and click adventure since years (and the first one that was designed for Console Controlls)

Akiba ‘S Trip is out?? Really hoping for the miracle of localization on this one, but in case the unlikely doesn’t happen, I’ll probably import it anyway.

      Akiba’s Trip
Gatchitora! Roughneck Teacher in High school
      Kenka Banchou 5
      New Yakuza Chapter: Black Panther
      Final Promise Story
      Black Rock Shooter: The Game

Those games I want localized  (*I think the last two might come here though)

         There’s also VC3 and PSP:Infinity.

        • I’m seriously hoping SEGA bring them over. I bought both VC2 and PSP2 day one, and I really want VC3 and Infinity.

        • Guest

Yes. Good chance those’ll come though (well maybe not Infinity…)

add Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. capcom hasn’t announced any for the west :(

  •  LA Noire is already in transit to my place. Unfortunately the strategy guide didnt ship with it, so I wont be able to play it on day 1.

    • [The Hunter] Doomrider

Because you can’t play a game without the strategy guide, amirite.

      • Yeah, i didn’t get that at all.

    • Playing a Point and Click Adventure with a strategy guide is about the most boring thing to do…

      • Come on there was combat scenes and exploration. Anyway, I did finish it with a guide and it was glorious.

I like fanservice as much as the next guy, but I can’t help but feel that it’ll be what ultimately prevents a localization of Akiba’s Trip for the States.  You’d be hard pressed to find a publisher that doesn’t flinch a little at a game where the entire combat mechanic revolves around ripping people’s clothes off.  How the heck do you market that (besides the Refuge in Audacity approach)?

    • d19xx

I remember THQ had something like that on one of their SVR games for the PS2. There was a special matches for Divas to strip each other. I think that feature only appeared once in the series :D

    • Ladius

Ar Tonelico games are more risky and they’ve all been localized, and Aksys did the same for the Agarest games (even if they’re far less prone to fanservice than many people think). I hope someone can bring this game to the west (maybe Aksys).

    • exhume

My thoughts exactly…this game looks cool and the art style is ace, but I ain’t getting my hopes up.

  • PrinceHeir

can’t wait to see Kojima’s impression about La Noire :P
