Sega’s Rise of Nightmares Trailer Is Kind Of Clever

Rise of Nightmares is a first-person game for Kinect that puts you in the role of an American tourist trying to rescue his wife from a deranged scientist…but that might not come across in Sega’s trailer for the game:

Cute, isn’t it? I thought it was a clever way to get the point of the game across. Sega say Rise of Nightmares will be out this September.

September 2011? Uhm, so it got delayed.

I’m hoping for a demo, because from the gameplay video I’ve seen, it looked cool but also on the clunky side.

    • Yeah. I’m not normally the type of person that worries about a games visuals, but I found most of the attack animations awkward.  It’s like he had no elbows.

  • Nice Music

  • Oh, Sega, you sly fox… Using the attention-drawing words “Rise of” and “Nightmare” in the same title? You should try pitching some movie titles.

  • He was cute…

Anyways, this game might be fun. I’m rarely a fan of FP titles but I’d be willing to make an exception if the Kinect was implemented properly. Speaking of which, I think it’s time Kinect has a rouge-like dungeon crawler for it.
