Europe Will See Xenoblade Chronicles In September, Here’s The Pre-Order Bundle

By Ishaan . June 28, 2011 . 5:59am

Europeans don’t have long to wait for Xenoblade Chronicles at all. Nintendo of Europe will have it out on September 2nd, and in an optional pre-order exclusive bundle that comes with a red Classic Controller Pro if you care for it.

With the pre-order bundle, you’ll also get access to three signed posters, which come with an electronic signature of Tetsuya Takahashi, president of Monolith Soft and executive director of Xenoblade Chronicles. The cover of the game itself will be reversible and include the alternate cover voted for by fans.

Curious to hear what Xenoblade Chronicles sounds like in English? You can find out in some videos of the game we put up last night.

  • Very much looking forward to this!

  • malek86

Nintendo sure likes doing CC bundles. I think it kinda defeats the original purpose of the Wii, but then, that purpose was probably lost two or three years ago already.

On a side note… ew, a red controller. The only device that looks good in red is my DS Lite. But between this, NSMB, and the Mario Wii bundle, it looks like Nintendo might have embraced red as their new favorite color?

    (poor Luigi)

  • blah blah

    Odd choices for pre-order items.
I’m glad it’ll be soon, hopefully that’ll give us a idea if it actually will come to NA.

  • Should have just included the black.

  • I’m still wondering why publisher like to use the German rating icon…same could be said for the EU release of Agarest.

  • ninjaonizuka

    when does it release? o-o

    • September, don’t know the exact date though.

    • September 2nd (it’s in the first line ;p).

  • Lenne

But Xillia is in september… :(
well i prolly finish xillia first and then start working on dusting off my Wii and enjoy Xenoblade.. :D

    • Im also gonna import it!!, i admit i feel a little nervious i dont know why *breathes heavily* ehehheahahehaehaehaeha, i want to play it

    • HarryHodd

I know I have that same problem. One of these games will have to go in the backlog.

  • raikage

Why it has to be red? >,<

    Still, I'll get this bundle.

    • Istillduno

I assume it’s trying to match the sword on the cover, it might have looked nice with some white lines like the sword, or maybe some kind of symbol from the game to break up the red, but I guess maybe nintendo are going to be selling red controllers separately or something and it just matched well enough to be sold with the game rather than being a special edition for it.

      • XypherCode

yeah the only “unique” controller they’re releasing are special Zelda Wiimotes that’ll come with Skyward Sword. Others are just different in color. They should base the design and color more on the game. Well it’s not like a hate red :P

    • Why it’s red? I suppose it’s because the sword Monado is red so maybe that’s why.

  • Istillduno

Meh, will probably just get the normal version unless the package is only a tenner or so more, if I’m going to splash out on an extra classic controller that ugly red thing is not going to be it.

  • XypherCode

    that is so cool! :P

they should put in more designs and things on those controllers based on the games not just a different color.

i like the packaging though :P

  • Phoenix_Apollo

Still hoping for an American release…

    • PrinceHeir

      yup yup :D

  • Yes, thanks I’m gonna pre-order this, finally a great JRPG to play on my rarely played Wii! And I’m gonna get a red controller which looks great!

  • I *might* finally end up turning on my wii once in a while again?

  • anxiousheart

What can go wrong with a controller that has the color of a red starburst…

    • Kaoro

Now I’m wanting starburst. See? It causes starburst lust.

      • anxiousheart

then eat a starburst, now you are happy :)

  • Shinji Kazuya

Great news but I already have the Black Classic Controller PRO that came with Monster Hunter Tri so I think I’ll get the regular game.

  • SerendipityX

O_O Woah…I want that controller now.

  • AzureNova

See, now they’re getting it. People love box sets and will pay more for them, i know i will. lol

  • badmoogle

Hmm i already have a classic controller and i’m not that interested in the posters so i think i’ll just get the regular version. But i admit the box itself would look really cool on my shelf.^^

  • for once europe gets a game first and to  add at it, a wicked preorder bundle :D, i’m so gonna preorder :3

    • Kunio_kun

You’ve been getting quite a few titles we in the States have not for several years now… NoA keeps getting worse, and I’d trade today’s SNEA for Saturn-era Sega of America’s management…

  • puchinri

I almost feel like NoE is mocking everyone else now. But good for them~. For getting the bundle I mean…

  • So you get three whole posters or you have to choose from one of three? And do we know what pictures the posters will be of? :0

  • Wake

I just want to say seeing this is making me crazy. Damn you NoA.

  • Lucky Europe.

  • PrinceHeir

the monster at the back is badass O_O

  • A red controller, but what about a red Wii to go with it?

  • should I give up the NoA version and but this instead?

  • Aw man thats it i am getting this i have decided!

i want two of these !

but what if they bring the last stroy wii bundle to europe aswell ?

    i need that aswell !

  • The Classic Controller Pro bundle costs about 60€, while the normal edition goes for 50€ on Amazon (Germany). Paying just 10€ more for a CC-Pro and posters sounds good to me.
