baku12Bakuman: The Way of a Manga Artist, a Nintendo DS video game based on the comic of the same name, has two different modes. In one you’re tracing manga panels. The other has you step into the shoes of writer Akito Takagi.

Akito gets his ideas by walking around town. Players can find cards and there are eleven different types like protagonist, heroine, motivation, and ending. There are over 180 different cards to find in Bakuman.

After you select all eleven cards a manga matrix pegs your story between six genres: drama, comedy, romance, action, reality, and horror. While you can pair cards anyway you want some cards are meant to link with each other. The affinity chain system helps your manga get a better review.
