Drakengard Artist Helps Bring Roy Into Fire Emblem: Awakening

underworldr Nintendo announced three more downloadable characters for Fire Emblem: Awakening during Nintendo Direct. Roy (technically "Underworld Roy") from Fire Emblem: Sealed Sword and Super Smash Bros. Melee will be available as downloadable content on April 26. Nintendo collaborated with Drakengard artist Kimihiko Fujisaka to created artwork for Roy’s 3DS debut.


Leaf, well Underworld Leaf, from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War will be available on the same day. Sachiko Wada drew his artwork.


Senri Kita character designer for Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and a guest illustrator for Luminous Arc 3 Eyes created artwork for Underworld Marth. This downloadable character will be available on May 31.

  • I hear you there. I’d buy the game JUST because Roy’s in it. It’s like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen in a long, long time.
    I was never interested in FE until this; what better a time to jump into the franchise then? Whoever thought of doing this DLC… I applaud them wholeheartedly for taking that chance.

      Seriously. A double round of applause for this. Loved him in Smash Bros. and now they’ve just drawn me into the series by combining him with something else I enjoyed.
