  • That’s just spectacular. Exactly what the Vita needed. <3

    • Godmars

A years old PSN title that’s been out everywhere but the US?

Sorry, but it deserves better than that.

      • Wait, were you talking about the game that deserves better, or the Vita?

        • Godmars

May as well be both. Not seeing how releasing it on both the PS3 and Vita would hurt either, much less sales of the game even in regions where its already been released.

No wait. I could see people complained about having to re-buy the game, and they’d be right to complain.

  • Code

    Maan still kind of had hopes the PS3 game would come out here, but seems like it’s probably not going to happen after all opo; Might be best to grab a PSN card sometime if I ever hope to play it o3o;

  • Domii

This was one of my most anticipated games but with the lack of info on the localization, I kinda gave up.

    • Malicious (PSN) was released in Europe.

  • Niermyico

So… no more PSN(PS3) release for this? I am disappoint. :(

  • Godmars

Seems like everyone has the exact same idea: where the heck is the US PS3 version of this? Why is it only on the vita?

  • z_merquise

I’m actually looking forward for Malicious in the PS3 but it seems like there are no plans for a US PSN release so if the one for the Vita is the enhanced version, then I’ll get that instead.

Besides, Vita needs more games and so far, only Gravity Rush is the must-buy Vita game for me.

By the way, are PSN pre-paid cards region-specific? I only used it for my main account (US PSN) but I also created Europe, Japan and Asian PSN accounts as well.

    • Aoshi00

Yeah, they are region specific, since you need the $ cards for the US and yen cards for Jpn PSN, and Euro cards for Europe I assume (the 12-digit redeemable code wouldn’t be recognized by diff. regions either).  The Jpn PSN tickets are not cheap though, almost double the price of US ones.  I d/l’ed Malacious from Jpn PSN for 800 yen alrdy, so don’t think I would double dip on Vita.  It’s a beautiful game and has a Nier feel but quite hard.

      • z_merquise

        Thanks a lot!

It’s a bit of a bummer since our country here only sold PSN cards meant for US PSN. I really like to get this game back when I first saw it. But I think Vita would be better for me since it had additional content.

And now that you mentioned Nier, I remember borrowing the game from a friend few weeks but I haven’t tried it till now. I’m going to try Nier once I get the chance to play again.

        • Aoshi00

No prob :).  Yeah, I usually think twice spending on Jpn PSN since the yen cards are so expensive.. you could get them on ebay or from PlayAsia if you want, in 1000¥, 3000¥, or 5000¥. I’ve bought several PS games before.. Again, diff. cards for diff. currency, like pounds, HK dollars, US dollars, yen, etc..

The Vita ver. should look amazing like Gravity Daze/Rush.  I actually haven’t beaten Malicious yet.. really require strategy in which boss to fight first to get which weapon..

You must play Nier ASAP, such an amazing game.  I bought the artbook and all the soundtracks (OST, arranged, concert remix, piano) and still listen to the music all the time.  It’s very emotional and could be a bit depressing.. a very unique, dark, and mature game.  I imported Replicant on PS3 too (w/ the younger bro instead of old man father) and haven’t finished that yet, will need to when I have time *.*..

  • raymk

Well I guess that’s alright I know they are trying to help the vita sales and I guess this combined with Gravity rush might get them a few sales.  Still mad that its vita only though.

  • zero254

I still love this game to death and play it.

I’d buy a vita just to play this portable.

  • brian yep

I wish we’d get this in english.
Or wait, I vaguely recall an article with that guy from Ignition teasing that they were doing a PSN game and a lot of people thought it was this
    Was that game actually revealed?

  • badmoogle

I’m not sure what to think about this game…It’s either way too hard or the game is a bit broken thanks to a sluggish camera.Or maybe i simply suck with it. :p
And it’s a shame really since i really like its art direction.

Anyway it’s good that it’s coming for Vita with extra content. The system definitely needs more games.

  • Guest

I dont get it. dozens of games make it to U.S. PSN. Why’d they stop at EU?

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

Could this be why they never released the PSN version for NA? Answers please, Sony? Otherwise I’ll get the EU version while I wait for the Vita version to come.

  • Herok ♞

Maybe because they didn’t do a US PS3 version we will get the Vita version first.

  • Go2hell66

this was a ps3 trailer, i am dissapoint

  • kazdamaz

No US PSN release huh? Now I understand why Siliconera never did an article, for shame Siliconera, being USA centralised when you normally are the furthest from this lol

I bought this cause I live in the UK, either its too hard or I’m just terrible I beat the punching boss, the knight and the wolf but didn’t pay attention to my continues and now only have one (I only play hard mode in most of the games I play.) The castle and the queen as too strong for me >.< they have too much health…

    • mikanko

You should be killing the queen 2nd, she’s probably the hardest fight in my opinion, and each fight scales in difficulty.  I go for the library first though because the lance is pretty much required to beat her.

If you have a niconico account there are some S clears of the entire game with out any life regen used for the continues so they get the trophy.  It’s worth a watch as most of the bosses rely on gimmicks.

      • kazdamaz

Thanks I do have an account. Guess I’ll start again then.

@Gren that is not an article about European release day.

  • Can’t freaking wait.  Game looks sick.

    • Testsubject909

      In agreement.

  • Leivinia

“… brining is a process similar to marination in which meat is soaked in brine before cooking.”

Guess it’s going to be a delicious game.

  • mikanko

I hope the additional content makes its way to the PSN release, though I suppose it’s doubtful.  I don’t think I’d enjoy trying to play this game with out two sets of trigger buttons. My hands are a little big to find the dual sticks on the vita quite as comfy as the dual shock either for a game this taxing on your reflexes.

That said, it’s a fun little game and well worth the ten bucks it costs on PSN.

  • Spider-Man

I never even heard of this game… :| Wish I knew sooner. Will be keeping an eye out on it.

    • Testsubject909

Well, now you know. And knowing is half of what’s going to kill you with excitement.

  • sherimae1324

will you guys just stop complaining……. siiiggggghhhhh…. -__-

  • XiaomuArisu

I bought the game(PS3 version of course) and I loved it!
Im happy to live in the EUXD
But hey if there is a US Psn game I want(Fate/Extra)I use a US account.
    You could do the same!

  • AzureNova

I’m happy to hear this, but what happened to the PS3 release for Malicious because I’ve been wanting to play this for it?

  • I’m not sure if this game ever even came out for the US, which is a shame. The moment I saw the Japanese trailer and heard it was for Vita, I bought one in anticipation. It does my heart good to know that it wasn’t in vain.
