    HOJAEFJAAM!

  • http://twitter.com/Linka13 Linka

    Catherine for $20? Persona 2 for $15? Persona 1 for $10?!

Why Atlus, you got me great savings for my birthday month! You shouldn’t have!

  • Xapth

Persona 3 Portable is an amazing experience, you will not regret those deal saving dollars spent.

And I haven’t seen Catherine that cheap before so if you haven’t played it yet, I’d say now’s a good opportunity to do so!

  • GibbRS

I’m still upset Gungnir isn’t Vita compatible.  I want the game, but I’ll wait until it’s Vita supported, if it ever will be.

    • Andrew Austin

Wait, what? How or why isn’t it compatible?

      • GibbRS

I read a PSN blog post about it a while ago and somebody asked about Vita support.  The Atlus guy responded and said that’s up to Sony and is out of their control.  I don’t know how it all works, but not all digital PSP games work on the Vita.  It’s probably 50% of them don’t work, which is sad.  The easiest way to tell is to log into the PSN store from the Vita, and it’ll only show games that are compatible, and Gungnir is nowhere to be found.

        • Kevadu

The weird thing is there are games not on that list that actually work fine, you just can’t download them directly from the Vita.  But if you copy them over from a PS3 or something, no problem.  It’s not every game, though, so I don’t know if it applies to Gungnir.

  • Jesse Thompson

Wow, $10 for one of the best rpg’s I’ve ever played?  Anyone skipping out on this game now with that deal is seriously missing out!

  • Paradox me

Boy, if I did digital distribution on consoles then I’d be all over Catherine.

Still, some great deals here. Persona 3 for $10 is an absolute steal.

  • Solomon_Kano

    (!)

I have a chance to get all 3 PSP Personas (Personae?) at a discount? So… tempting..

And Catherine too!? My wallet! D:

lol I personally prefer Personae (*took 3 years of latin, hence why she prefers the -ae over -as*) but I believe it’s Personas.

      • Solomon_Kano

Well that sucks, I liked how -ae sounded more lol.

  • Zonic505

Totally recommend P3P for only $10. I got it for $20 when it was on sale about a year or so ago & I still think that was a great price.

Anyone wanna recommend me Persona 2 (couldn’t get into Persona 1 that much, though I thought it was okay) & Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble (been wanting to try this, glad to see it’s that low).

    • Herok♞

Get it P2 is my favorite out of the persona games, has great characters and is one of the few games I will say is funny.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/U2UHZLVTHH5EFWNTDCP2MJ4TGQ Nick

i bought P3P for 40 bucks a few months it came out and man it was worth it 80+ hrs of gameplay

    • Victoria [Rokuso3]

I know, P1 is quite boring (and that map is very confusing). P2 isn’t perfect (And the combat isn’t nearly as interesting as P3 & P4, despite having great fusion spells), but has much better characters and story, and is far more fun than P1. I’d absolutely recommend it, specially for that price.

    • DoctorAllosaurus

Kenka Bancho is totally worth it. It’s relatively short, but it’ll take you multiple playthroughs to actually get 100%. I’ve got about 40 hours clocked in and I still haven’t found everything.

    • Aqua King

Is there a major difference between the P3P and the P3FES version for PS2?

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Aunna-Terrell/100001267508146 Aunna Terrell

P3FES is just like the original P3 but with extra stuff added and a sequel part where you play as Aigis.

P3P is more like a visual novel/RPG where you can play as either a male or a female main character. They had to remove/change stuff from the original to create the PSP of P3 version.

  • Jrpgfanatic

Hexyz Force is so damn good, and sadly overlooked by many. I don’t know if I’m alone on this but when I played it, it just screamed “Wild ARMS!” to me. Seriously, pick it up for that price, it’s a great game with lots of replay value.

    • FFmax

No you’re not alone, I played that game to death (90+ hours!) it also reminded me of Wild Arms too. I hope they make a sequel and I also hope for a Wild Arms 6.

  • Anime10121

Might be time to try Catherine out! Been waiting for a price drop, the gameplay from the demo didnt really grab me as much as I’d hoped, but the story, I still wanted to play it.  Guess todays the day :)

    • Testsubject909

Just remember that the gauge in the game is not Evil vs Good, it’s Freedom vs Order. Chaos vs Law.

All the LPs of the game I’ve seen to date keep on mistaking it and getting needlessly confused because of it.

  • Hoshi星

I bought my Vita last week. Thanks Atlus for keeping my Vita alive with all those games until Ragnarok

  • sandra10

Looks like I’ll be owning and playing all of the Persona and Dept. Heaven games on the Vita. Will also be picking up Trine 2.

  • AndyFe

Welp there goes all my money, I’m definitely going to need a bigger Vita memory card

    • keithmaxx

And for that, all your savings through this summer sale just got wiped out… you might end up paying more, even, thanks to the prohibitively expensive  storage cards!

  • AJ

“Hexyz Force” is one of those games that every single retail outlet in my city has decided is “rare”, so it’s sold for AT LEAST 80$. Never mind that there are at least 10 copies on the shelf at all of these retailers. IT’S RARE! So I’m actually pretty happy to buy it on sale digitally despite my hatred of digital distribution, because video game retailers have all gone insane.

  • http://twitter.com/Cucumber_man Cucumber

For all those interested: P4:arena PS3 is indeed region locked.

    http://atlus.com/forum/showpost.php?p=289141&postcount=2509

However, if you own a JP PS3, don’t worry. Apparently there are English text/voice options in that version as well.

    • Fidelis

      Wait what

When I orginally heard that the PS3 was region free, I rejoiced at never having to use anything like swap magic again

      But you’re telling me..
They can make individual games region locked?

      A whole new threat arises.

On the bright side I really love it when JPN devs decide to put a “FULL ENGLISH” option in games. I only wish they would do that with the Sengoku Basara HD collection..
Just english text in that game is all I want..

      • Nitraion

Well Jap dev giving english text is good trend :D
        ps3 BD region lock is nightmare… D:
Hope Tales is doing first trend lol just wishful thinking…
Still PS3 BD region lock is questioneble do you think it is online coding thing? they want restrict online coding per region?

  • klkAlexar

I’m so tempted to buy the Persona collection, except I don’t even have a psp anymore, much less a vita.

  • epy

If stuff like this happened way more often, I wouldn’t mind digital distribution that much but it is usually the norm that a game I want can remain full price on PSN for months or more while I can find the physical copy very cheap on a sale just a couple of months later.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/ArPeeGeePlaythroughs Kaspian

Need to show Sony the wonders of Steam sales.  Then they too could sell us dirt cheap games that we buy by the bucket load and never play. :p

  • LustEnvy

Imagine Shin Megami Tensei: Notcture, and Digital Devil Saga 1+2… for $10 each on PSN… one can dream, lol.

    • darkfox1

I said something about that on the blog where they announced this sale. I hope the guy from ATLUS SEES it eheehh. He has been replying to other people and it’s quite funny I must say.

  • revenent hell

Hmmm P3 im a pass on,I have FES and eventhough you can replay as a chick its not realy enough insentive even with the few new added bits, for me once was enough as much as I love the charecters the ai was just so……..god marin karin….Yeah im just done lol
    But im considering Hexys force
    Class of hero’s
    Yggdra union
and Knights in the Nightmare or Crimson Gem saga…
Im not to sure I have to go hunt down some info’s on the games befor I decide but if anyone has any gaming expierience with the above mentioned games and would like to share im all ears.

  • Barrylocke89

This might be my chance to try out Class of Heroes. 14.99 seemed like a decent enough price but I won’t complain if Atlus wants me to pay less :P

I MAY consider P3P, P1, and Riviera as well. I already have prior versions of all 3 though.

    • Radiosity

If you own the original PSX version of Persona 1 then you owe it to yourself to get the PSP one right now in all its original not-screwed-up glory, what they did to the originals of that and 2 was terrible.

      • Barrylocke89

Yeah, I know the original version of P1 had an awful localization and no SQQ. That’s why I’m considering the PSP version of P1. I wound up purchasing one of those 20 dollar PSN cards, so both P1 and P3 are up for consideration along with Class of Heroes (though I’m going to take a look at other games on the PSN just to make sure I don’t miss anything else that looks appealing)

Also Radiosity, While the original localization of Persona 1 was…let’s say a product of its time :P…P2EP’s original localization was a BIG improvement imo.

    • Prithivi

You have to consider P3P at that price, even if you already have the original and FES. I think it’s the best version of P3 aviable, one of the best adaptations to a handheld I’ve ever seen! Furthermore, it has tons of new content, a better battle system (with the improvements of P4 in it) and you can play as a girl and date Akihiko, who woudn’t want that?! :p

(and, just in case, sorry about my English hahaha)

  • Razentsu

    These deals, they be slick.

    It’s too bad I own neither a PSP nor a PS3. ):

I would have definitely bought the Sting games and Catherine.

  • XiaomuArisu

    YES!time for some badass rumble!XD

  • darkfox1

Lol the guy who replies on the BLOG is awesome. Love ATLUS and their employees they just too good.
