Despite the fact I am scared of fighting Kuma (seriously! He’s like the worst first boss EVER), I’ve already preordered this game baby.

This game isn’t even out yet but I’m already looking forward to a potential sequel. Hopefully that will contain Skypeia and Thriller Bark arcs, respectively, will appear in any potential sequel.

Thriller Bark was awesome. I didn’t care for Skypeia though.

      • http://s932.photobucket.com/ usagi_san

Totally agree. At the least, Thriller Bark should’ve been included. Just means more awesome arcs for the potential sequel.

      And more playable characters.

      • http://s932.photobucket.com/ usagi_san

Definitely. Controlling guys like Law, etc would be very awesome.

Europe’s been getting a lot of stuff over the US lately.

–not that i’m complaining. I’m actually rather happy for them. xD
    LOL

    ..

..But seriously, when’s the US getting this.

    • http://burnpsy.wordpress.com/ burnpsy

We get it as a download-only around the same time.

And the PS3 isn’t region locked anyway, so…

      • Renzouri

Thing is, if you do decide to play imported PS3 games, and you have to have  access to the PSN in the native region should you decide to play DLC’s.

And you know how Namco Bandai love DLC’s.

It isn’t much trouble to browse around another PSN store which is still in English though. Joseph doesn’t really lose anything.

  • Tien Ron

where are the english voices :(

    • AnimeRemix

Already confirmed that it will have no english dub.

      • http://twitter.com/Romangelo Román Monterossa

YES!!! I like Jap dub more.

        • British_Otaku

I’m with ya on preference but even if you like one more than the other, we shouldn’t have only one. If One Piece didn’t have a dub in English, especially a good one where there is a high degree of accuracy and voices for many of the cast already.

For the guys, who they never casted they would just temporarily cast someone who may or may not change. Worked for Unlimited Adventure and other games where the dub isn’t up to speed in the episodes. Even happens in Japan.

        • Testsubject909

I prefer the Japanese dubs myself, but after just a few short episodes of the English FUNImation dubs, specifically, the voices grew on me quite rapidly, plus keep in mind that the voice actors were approved by Oda, the creator of One Piece.

Also, I will like to note, having played Warriors Orochi 3 which is Japanese dub only.It does hurt the gameplay flow. Even though I’ve many years of experience reading subtitles and watching the action on screen simultaneously without problem, I cannot deny that it did distract away from the action and did impede with my performance in the game and at times actually got me attacked by a soldier who I didn’t catch in time as I was trying to rapidly read what was just said.

An English dub would make the game far more approachable which would serve well for sales and would also generally help with the smooth flow of the gameplay.

Hopefuilly the release date is moved up for CONUS. I need my Luffy, Zoro, Sanji love!.

  • gaiahatergaia

    GUMU GUMU NO JETO PISTORU!

  • Prithivi

How come that Sanji and Zoro have their New World Saga appearance??? I thought this game arrived just to Marineford Arc =O

    • http://www.salarymandaishi.net/ SalarymanDaishi

No worries, this is just an action-packed prologue mission. After this, the story starts from the very beginning and serves almost every awesome and memorable moment of the series all the way to Marineford. It’s easily as superb a One Piece experience as any fan can hope!

  • Hinataharem

    Gomu gomu no preorder

So hype for this, I guess I’m one of the few that loved ken’s rage.

  • Göran Isacson

Looks faster than Ken’s Rage which I am definitely liking, and I approve of Kuma’s boss-fight in general even if it seemed a bit too easy… but that ending. Sanji spinning around and using the laser as a lighter for his shoe. Superb. SUPERB I say.

Also I can’t help but wonder like the fanboy I am if we’re going to see more of the original Kuma, with Pawpad fruit and all, upgraded into a much more powerful robot body sometime in the manga…

  • Testsubject909

Still hopelessly wishing for a retail release here in NA.

At worst, if Europe gets a retail version, I’ll just have to double dip.

And I wonder how early you can get to the alternate logs. I for one cannot wait to start playing with Robin.

  • Keitaro004

Sweet and subbed, just the way I like it.
