Kagura Burst: Crimson Girls Has A Remastered Version Of Senran Kagura

By Spencer . August 6, 2012 . 12:42am

imageKagura Burst: Crimson Girls includes a the previous game, Senran Kagura on the cart. Marvelous made a bunch of improvements to the 3DS game that started the costume exploding series like… umm… being able to view 3D scenes in the game’s dressing room.

Wait! There are gameplay tweaks too. All of the parameters for characters plus bosses have been fine tuned, new techniques were added including mid-air ninja arts, enemy patterns were revised (especially mission 2-11), and attack frame animations were modified. Marvelous AQL also beefed up Senran Kagura’s presentation by adding more voice acting, adjusted certain background music & facial expressions for certain event scenes, added costumes from Kagura Burst, and if you’re tired of the story you can skip it the second time you go through the game.

Of course, there’s an all new game in Kagura Burst: Crimson Girls too. Kagura Burst: Crimson Burst comes out for Nintendo 3DS on August 30.

…… so better chance for localization?^_^

    • mockturtle

       I certainly hope so.

  • XypherCode

Xseed DID say they were interested so….If ever the really would do it then I hope they localize Burst. The 1st game is already there and I think it’s a more practical move if you ask me.

    • Xerain

Would be a 3DS system seller for me.

      • XypherCode

Not sure about that. As much as I really want this game localized, this type of game has a limited audience especially in the US. It did well for itself in Japan but didn’t much proved a system seller there. Well that’s just me :D

  • zferolie

Sounds great. Glad they are not just giving us a straight up re-release of the first one just with 3D changing scenes.

Now, Xseed, just announce you are bringing the game here, and I will fire my wallet at you guys out of a canon.

  •  That’s it, there’s no denying it now, MAQL want’s to bring this game to
North America and Europe with no questions asked, expect to see an
announcement sometime soon, it’s always good to wait for stuff like
this. MAQL seems to be keeping their word, and a company that keeps
their word is a very fortunate company.

Considering that news is from 2011 there, i am not really sure there.T_T However, seeing that Neptunia can come here just like all the three Arland series Atelier which had quite heavy fanservice there……….. i am quite sure they are able to bring the game here.^_^

The only thing i afraid there is the review responses there.T_T As Atelier is one of those games that gets a very low points from review just because they have cute girls as the M.C there.T_T

I just hope they don’t censor it like Mugen Souls.  Whats the point of bringing over something that is mostly sold on it’s ecchiness, and then taking it out.

It’s like if they released a version of Rocky Horror Picture Show with Frankenfurter removed.

      • I’m really sure they won’t have to, the worst this could get is an M rating, and does that really matter right now?

The point is, why else would they go through all that hard work to remaster a game from last year (and make a sequel too), they said they were working hard to bring this over but it’s probably taking them a long time.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Considering the game here also had a good gameplay there, the most censor i can see would only be some really small feature like character viewing.

I mean, it is not like they wanted to censor the game too there but the rating system in U.S there is different from Japan which allows ecchi more than violence there.

      • XypherCode

I can see with Mugen Souls but for this kind of game what’s the point if they would place any censoring to this. I mean that’s the “essence” of this game so to speak lol :P I think releasing this as a digital download is enough and just make sure an appropriate ESRB rating is placed on it.

  • James Smith

That’s really cool as a bonus, it shows they care about the franchise  but I’m also hoping it’s sign that they want to expand it’s market.
Improving the first game would give newcomers a better start if they ever decide to bring it to the western markets. Maybe it’s something they intend to try when the franchise gets more well known and it’s not such a gamble to localize it.
It’d be a shame if this becomes another franchise that never leaves Japan.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Hopefully it gets localized for you guys but I’m buying the hell out of it day one. Gotta get dem pre-order bonuses.

    • XypherCode

You gotta love ’em premium goodies :))

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Come on
     localize!!!  Moe’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sony MUST FIGHT for got this franchise in PS VITA,

MORE Senran Kagura AND LESS uncharted, PLEASE

  • omeganeko

I would laugh if the only reason this wasn’t for the vita was because you can’t view things in 3D.

  • I really hope Kagura bursts its way over here and gets localized. =^_^=

    •  Prefrer buy a japanese 3DS, this game NEVER will be out of Japan

      • Arrei

Don’t be so pessimistic, they’ve even expressed interest in bringing the series over here before.

To that end, people are trying to convince XSEED to bring it over. Hop over to their forum and show your support, why not. Thread’s running well over 200 pages of discussion by now.

  • gquain

i actively bought all games made by Marvelous and wrote them a localization request on board and per letter in weak japanese.
Marvelous shall tear down the border of countries and languages and provide us salvation in form of localization!
Don’t let me down like Capcom!
