I imported it but man I am jealous of those english VAs. They all sound so much better in english, except Zozo. Her ゾンビじゃない、ネクロマンサーだ is funnier in japanese as well as her way of speech. But Michelle Ruff does a good job anyway.

      Fundead, not undead.

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

        その通りだ!

  • Code

Hooray last date I heard was November so this is just that much closer >w<; Really looking forward to it, even though I've heard a few times now that the gameplay is tragically slow T3T; But it's still far too awesome looking to pass up uwu~!!

Also just gotaround to watching trailer HOLY FRIERTRUCK MARCO-NEKO, TO AWESOME, MAINING.

Sadly it kinda is, though i’m still going pick up….Lady Zozo <3

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Yeah its the frame rate. It gets insanely low when there are more than 2 enemies on screen. And the game hurls enemies at you all the time so you can imagine what it’s like. It’s still really fun though. Great music, funny ass characters and tons of content.

    • CobbleCake

I’ve heard that it was supposedly fixed in this version of the game, but I guess wasn’t from the looks of it unfortunately which is a deal breaker for me personally.

  • Jahred Down

They really are going out of their way to censor Solange’s boobs xD

    • Covnam

As long as the game itself is untouched it’s fine, but when I first saw it, I did do a double take and wondered if that really was an anime style beam of light censor.

Sorry I had to lol at your comment

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

Guess you ain’t buying it then.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Sadness then, you are not going to taste the goodness here.T_T

  • kylehyde

Personally I liked the voices, this is totally a must have for me, I can’t wait till october, I hope that the situation of my credit card solves soon, I want the preorder bonus.

    Allegro’s a guy?!

Damn, I thought he was a loli.

    • Adrián Alucard

He was a she in the japanese version. Just like the thief class in disgaea, the japanese thieves were females

I don’t understand why they do sex changes

PD plus, Allegro is Luke Fon Fabre XD (same voice acting)

      • FitzpatrickPhillips

Nah, Allegro is a guy in the JP version too. They call him a playboy constantly and he’s always hitting on the girls.

        • https://twitter.com/maxiburger maxiburger

Ahhh, I’ve been wondering about this ever since they introduced other characters besides Solange. Because Yuu Kobayashi is his Japanese VA you couldn’t possibly tell from just listening to the Japanese version of this trailer, so thanks for the clear up ♪

        • Adrián Alucard

Then, i don’t understand why he have a female seiyuu in the japanese version

          • FitzpatrickPhillips

You’re making it seem like it’s unusual for male characters, especially one that looks as young as Alleegro, to have a female seiyuu. Did you know that Goku from DBZ was voiced by a woman too?

        • puchinri

Is he an actual male, or a female that is a playgirl and constantly hitting on girls? I actually thought Allegro was a girl in the JP version too.

          • FitzpatrickPhillips

From what I’ve played, all signs point to male besides the VA. Could be ambiguous, though. But I haven’t run into anything that points to Allegro being female besides his VA and males have had female seiyuus in Japan all the time.

Just read the manual and no clarification there either. The word “Playboy Elf” does come up a lot though.

          • puchinri

I don’t remember why it seemed that Allegro was female, but I thought a Japanese article said Allegro was.

On the playboy elf though, given it’s common for female characters (anime, gaming or LA even) to be “playboys”, especially with other female characters, I don’t know if that says much either, heh.

      • Silver Citizen

I believe Allegro is voiced by Sam Riegal, not Yuri Lowenthal.

      • puchinri

Guh! So Atlus did change it. When I was reading Nintendo Power they other day, they said Allegro was male and I thought they made a mistake, but the trailer confirmed their statements. I am very disappointed by that. It does not make a bit of sense.

My 3DS will be happy this fall =^_^=

  • idrawrobots

Already had mine pre-ordered. Can’t wait, even though I don’t normally play games like this.

  • MrKappa

Looks like the regulars are here again.
Solange, Allegro, Zozo and Sister Hel… I’m getting a bit tired of hearing these voices on characters.
Not that I find them bad but one can only take so much Laura Bailey. She literally voices a character in every other game I buy.

    • Luna Kazemaru

From my guessing the West doesn’t have that many Actors willing to do voice acting in anime/Video games.

      • fancycakes

hahaha if I didn’t have such a (self-proclaimed) weird-sounding voice, I would love to voice anime/video game characters.

      • puchinri

I think we have a fair amount, but most companies are probably just so used to hiring the exact same voices all the time.

    • raymk

Well now that I think about it i’m surprised this game is in english, I did not expect that and i’m kinda happy now.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

It’s pretty much the same thing in Japanese. They use the same favorites for every other game/anime. Its jut easy not to notice.

      • puchinri

At least in Japan, there is a significantly larger pool that they pick from. Overall, the pool is larger and wider than our’s, but the choice of swimmers that the companies like to pick from still is not as narrowed down as our’s is.

Our folks in charge of voice here could scout out new talent, or just, ya know, hire other voice actors, but we stick to the same voices more than Japan does. And that, is really saying smething.

        • FitzpatrickPhillips

NISA adds a lot of new talent to most of their new games (almost) every time. There was a lot of new faces in games like Atelier Totori and the Neptunia games.

That said, I’d have to agree with you that the pool is significantly larger in Japan. Things are gradually getting better compared to the 90s so I’m sure in time the US will have a much larger pool than it does now. Though, there is probably a bit of fear on the publishers fault to use safe voices instead of new voices as to avoid the whole “Hurr these voices suck ass” complaints. As if they wont happen regardless of how good it is.

  • Suicunesol

    “Sister-Hel”

    Clever oxymoron.

  • KotaroInugami

    Wait… Is Ali a female? O.o? And w00t w00t for Wendee Lee! :D

    • puchinri

Yup! I thought all four (essential) mains were female, but I guess Allegro is actually male.

  • raymk

Sister Hel is going to be my main and I love her voice.

  • Zonic505

Wow, Oct. 9th? Not much longer! Cannot wait to get this & check out the OST and visual book.

  • XypherCode

Cool! But JP voices are cooler :))

  • http://www.jb2x.com/wordpress/ JB2X

I like how there was a conveniently placed beam of light on Solange’s cleavage on her intro.  Good show, ATLUS.  Good show.

  • https://twitter.com/#!/SplashdownTiger STiger

P4Golden and Code of Princess within a month of each other… dammit Atlus.

Solange’s voice is the only unfitting one. Everyone else’s was fine.

  • Alexander Aubert

good dub, to bad i don’t have a 3ds. maybe next year

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Dylan-Ng/100000854638739 Dylan Ng

    Your looks say otherwise, Zozo.
Ali……R u a trap??? Or its just your voice??
    Hello there beam-chan.

  • http://www.segalization.com/ Kuronoa

I preordered.  I don’t play online much if at all but I am thinking of giving this one a try.

  • countupyoursins

I want to be friends with Zozo. Will a preordered copy come with Zozo’s friendship? Because if it is, I’m all ears Gamestop employee. REGALE ME WITH THIS BONUS.

  • puchinri

Wahoo!  So excited~. I’m going to pre-order it soon, and I hope we get a slightly more fleshed out sound half to the S&V Book. Also, highly disappointed that Allegro is a male. I though Allegro was supposed to be a girl? oAo

Also love that everyone is more confused about Ali than Allegro.

  • Göran Isacson

Allegretto was a DUDE all along?

… I should have known it from her-I mean HIS lack of fanservice-tastic clothing. I thought that Ale was just flat-chested at first what with the female voice actor and that every other character first seen was a girl, but I should have still known better. I mean, even the lady who wears fully covering armor in this game has boob-plates and the smallest-chested girl in the game still has a stripe-bikini. Thinking there’d be more than one girl that was fully covered up was a mistake from the very start.

Truth be told I’m feeling kinda dissapointed right now. I at least hope Master T will have some funny “pity the fool” lines.
