The Three Magical Tools Adol Needs In Ys Celceta: Sea Of Trees

By Spencer . August 23, 2012 . 5:00pm

Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees has magical tools players will get on their arborous adventure. The Dwarf Bracelet shrinks Adol and the party. What’s neat is when you use it in battle the enemies appear larger. Wait.. that sounds like it’s going to be a huge problem for Adol too!

This item can also be used to shrink Adol so you can enter tiny secret passages.

The wind boots give Adol (and the rest of the party) a super high speed dash when you press X. Adol can run up certain walls this way too.

The Holy Beast Choker changes Adol into a rou and lets him talk with these cute creatures.

Ys Celceta: Sea of Trees uses the touch screen to change characters and for camera control. You can pinch in and out to zoom.

I hope that ring can be used to sneak up under “they-know-where”.

it seem YS series getting better and better..PSvita is the right handled for it :]
i cant wait to us release

  • Finally Vita games are arriving. Gonna be interesting to see how well Tokushu Houdoubu (Special Report Division) did this week and how it affected Vita sales. My    import copy should arrive soon. With more unique and promising looking titles Vita can finally catch fire. Looking good for Japan and our shores so far (especially after that GamesCom conference) and there’s still TGS to look forward to.

Touch screen to change characters? I hope you can also just tap the back for that.

Better yet just implement them on the face buttons like Ys 7.

Much streamlined than having to keep on re extending my thumb away from the face buttons.

  • Seriously. Localisation please?

I don’t know a thing about the Ys series, but this seems promising. Need some RPGs for my Vita ASAP.

I definitely recommend the series. Good thing is, most of the series is available on recent consoles now:

Ys I & II are on DS, PSP.

Ys: Oath in Felghana is a remake of Ys 3, on PSP and PC

Ys: Celceta is a remake of 4

There is a PS2 port of Ys 5, though it’s still JP only, AFAIK

Ys: Ark of Napishtim is the sixth game, and is on PS2, PSP, and PC, I believe.

Ys: Seven was developed for PSP, originally, but has a PC port now, I believe.

Ys: Origins is on PC and has an english release now.

So, I think it’d be safe to say if you own a Vita at any point in the future, you’d have access to most, if not all of Ys, as it exists in the last few years, barring Ys 5 and Origins.

Note to FALCOM: Ys 5 remake. NOW! XSEED! Back me up on this!

If Origin was on the PSP I’d be ALL OVER DAT SHIT! But it’s not :(
I will buy it off Steam one day though

Oh? I thought a port had been announced a while back. My mistake.

  • “The Dwarf Bracelet shrinks Adol and the party.”
For some odd reason, my first thought was Minish Cap…
