Animal Crossing For 3DS Crosses The Pond To North America In 2013

By Ishaan . August 29, 2012 . 2:32pm

Animal Crossing for Nintendo 3DS is headed to Japan this November. In the new 3DS game, you’re responsible for the town you live in, acting as its mayor. This gives you control over the town’s growth and personality, and the game adds a number of new customization features as well.

Animal Crossing for 3DS is also headed to North America. The game will be released in the first half of 2013, Nintendo of America announced this afternoon via Twitter. It doesn’t have an official U.S. title yet.

Wasn’t it announced that it was coming to Europe in Q1 2013 as well at the last Nintendo Direct? I remember cause they said the same thing about Fire Emblem.

I’m super excited for this, far too many days were spent on Wild World…. or not enough xD

    The official NA title is:

Animal Crossing: Screw You Tom Nook, I’m The Mayor!

I was kinda hoping this game would be released in time for Christmas like Wild World…

Still, I’m looking forward to it!
I’m impressed by how it looks even better than the Wii AC title City Folk!

Finally! Something a little more concrete. I’ve waiting this long, I can wait a little longer.

Just hope we can transfer our catalog from CF.

Or better yet, just transfer our house and items :P
I don’t want to have to hunt the UFO again to get the Metroid, AGAIN.

Aw yeah baby. Bring on the K.K. Slider.

Whats the reason for not announcing games to Europe??
When i always come here i see ”Game coming for America that game for America this” but what about Europe??
We too want game like this and don’t wanna wait so long.
RF4 and HM and idk what other game we are gonna wait 1+ year…

Actually NoE announced months ago that the new Animal Crossing would come Q1 2013, i.e: sooner than in America.

      • JMaster3000

I know about 1st part games.
And the American version of Animal Crossing is gonna come max 1 month after the European release.
But lets talk about a game like Rune Factory 4, a 3rd party game.
Every RF games needs 2 year after the release in Japan to come in Europe.
So RF4 came 2012, in America its gonna come in 2013 and Europe 2014!!!
        I mean wtf!?
        Thats too much to wait!
And + the 3DS is region locked, it can’t even more suck.
Well it can…..if it does not get release in Europe….. hope it does… i mean all the RF came so…

Most japanese developers do not have a secured localization team for Europe, most notably Atlus.

Japanese developers in general also have gained a fear for localizing their titles in the present time due to a large number of flops of localized games in the 6th and 7th gen (eg: EBA and every Level-5 game that isn’t Layton or Little Battlers) hence the slow localizations nowadays.

The only exceptions being Atlus and Square Enix who know they have a fanbase in the west big enough to buy everything they make.

It’s going to take time for the title to cross another pond, you know, so I guess you’ll just have to wait a bit. Good things come to those who wait. :)
