Style Savvy: Trendsetters for the Nintendo 3DS is due out in Japan later this month, and this week, Nintendo released a batch of new screenshots of the boutique-management game, which you can find below.

New to Trendsetters is the ability to to deal in men’s fashion, as well as handbags. Developer, Syn Sophia, say that there are over 12,000 clothing items spread across 19 fictional brands in the game. Similar to the original Style Savvy, you’ll be able to share your fashions through an online portal.

You’ll also be able to download new outfits off the Internet, and the game has an augmented reality photo shoot feature as well.

North America will see Style Savvy: Trendsetters on October 22nd.

Strangely enough I want to try this game, but I know I’ll never hear the end of the laughing and mockery if I did get it.

I wonder if it has lolita and gothic fashions in it.

    • Brian

I have the perfect cover to buy this game without anyone batting an eyelash, 4 nieces who loved the last style savvy

I got a younger cousin, but she lives way down south and i got a feeling she’d say “i wouldn’t be caught dead playing that.” since she’s gotten older and all… so options like that are out for me. congrats for you though.

There is always the brave option and just buying the game
and not caring what anyone thinks! I sadly am not that brave but you could be :)

    • PersonaSpace

Buy it online? Actually I just went to Wal-Mart at midnight in the next town over for my 2 copies. Granted I happened to be there for something else and this was just a happy coincidence for me.

    • Krystal

Yes, there are lolita/gothic fashion in it (the first one has them too). Is this enough to convince you to JUST BUY IT?! xD

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Considering i bought Catherine Limited edition on the store……. i ensure you that buying this is not that bad lol.^_^

    • Luxuria d’Amour

I know how you feel. I’m not a girly girl at all, so people mock me as well. But this game is awesome, with the most awesome Goth, Loli and Gothic-Lolita fashion! My favourite brands surely are Raven Candle, AZ USA, Marble Lily and Stagedive :).

12,000 clothes, wow thats over 9,000.

Honestly, I would have rather gotten Fab Style localized because of the romanceables in it.  I highly doubt it will ever be localized but I would pre-order and day one buy it if they did!

May pick this up because I do love simulation games and have the first but, still hoping on Fab Style either way. If only this one had it, it would be pure awesome. T^T

Well, this is on my radar now. I like playing digital dressup, and love when it’s an option in games. What I think would be really neat is some kind of SimFashion; a really simple, gamey design tool in the style of old Sim games that works as a bridge between games and actual fashion design.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Man, i really wanted to buy this game here lol.^_^ Time to use my little sister as a good old excuse when i am buying this game lol.^_^

  • I can’t wait to play this game, the ds version was really addictive lol.

  • Muddied_Waters

YESSSSS.  I spy room decorating stuffs!!!!

  • I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time and I’m so happy we’re getting closer and closer to the release dates! I hope along the way, they release more gameplay videos. The added customization options are WONDERFUL because that’s what a lot of us Style Savvy gamers wanted and we also wanted accessories and we got ’em! :) It’s like the company listened to our ideas and complaints. xD

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to this game. The first one was really addicting and this one looks just as addicting if not more. Style Savvy is such an underrated DS game and if America doesn’t butcher the boxart (because the Japanese one is already nice!), I expect many DS gamers to be interested in this game and perhaps buy it when they see it in stores!

  • Oh snap! *jots down on my list of games* Love these types of games!

  • Me again! xD Just wanted to stop by and say that the first screenshot is definitely of a couple – so we’ll be be able to cater to couples now! And also, the guy in the blue flannel is someone you can hire as a part-time clerk! I’m sure there will be more options as to who you can hire, but yes, you’ll have a helper just like Renee in the first Style Savvy. :D

I already have 24 hours into it, it has gotten a bit harder now with the variation of things that customers want.
