As previously reported, Ace Attorney 5 takes place one year after the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, and sees Phoenix Wright returning to the court room. Joining him is a lady clad in yellow clothes, who is Phoenix’s new assistant. The game’s first case sees Phoenix defending a girl named Shinobu in court against Winston Payne’s younger brother, who is a prosecutor as well.

Above: A screen of  Phoenix’s new partner. The two screens on the bottom show of some kind of new gameplay systems that haven’t been detailed yet.

Ace Attorney 5 doesn’t have a release date yet, but as noted above, is confirmed for release in both Japan and the west. Capcom say more news will be available “soon”. The game will also be playable at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

Correction: Shinobu is the defendant, not the name of Phoenix’s new partner in yellow.
