So, how do you defend against Jedah Dohma’s Prova di Servo? Project X Zone gives you four options depending on how many cross points (XP) you have.

Counterattack reduces the number of attacks and lets you strike back if you’re in range. You have to spend 20% of your XP (cross points, not experience) to do trigger this option.

Defend halves damage and shields friendly units from status abnormalities, but also costs 20% of your XP.

Perfect Defense reduces damage to zero and protects against status abnormalities at the cost of 60% of your XP.

Or you can do nothing. This costs 0 XP, but you take full damage. As a consolation prize you get a 5% XP boost after an enemy unit pummels your characters. I suppose aggressive players who want to stock XP might want to go for this option.

Project X Zone comes out on October 11 in Japan.

Baki’s Aerial Super Guts Bullet? You mean Batsu, right? Cool to see Vashyron again xD. Vashyron, darling, how good to see you.

  • Shadowman

  • Tales_of_Master

Yes, I was waiting to see Heihachi, I see that his young appearance became the official one now, I wonder if it’s the one they’re gonna use in Tekken 7. I hate keep repeating the same thing over and over, but unless this is announced for localization, I don’t see the point in getting hyped -_-

  • Classic Skeith, as sinister and badass as ever.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Yumeria wow  What a shocker lol

  • Man, seeing all these attacks that I know and love from their different series (Data Drain, Tanden Typhoon, and ESPECIALLY Prova di Servo) has me wanting this more than ever. Probably been answered elsewhere, but do we have any further word on a localized version?

Seriously. Seeing all these screenshots is going to make it all the worse if we don’t get this outside of Japan. :C

  • Kaihedgie

  • MrJechgo

    *sees Batsu*

  • Göran Isacson

Sooo what game is Yumer, and who is the girl?

  • Kris

Jedah! What a badass, even in tiny form.

  • Defenses basically play out as forced evasion.  Nice!

  • Ricardo Guedes

horrible portrait of ryu and ken

  • Zonic505

Oh man, these just make me hope even more for a TGS trailer with these characters so we can see them in action.

  • Zurashii

Juri AND Seth?? SSFIV is represented too much for the Street Fighter universe… it should be M. Bison instead of Seth!

    • agumike (けんじ)

the funny part, they still said that this was supposed to be more of the Alpha versions of Street Fighter like for NxC, when obviously it is IV

  • It’s nice that they keep adding characters. But this game just looks bad and will probably play bad too. On top of that it’s a DS game released for the 3DS. It doesn’t use the 3DS’s specs at all.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Umm where did you heard that this game is DS game? I thought from the first here, they already mentioned this is a new game build with 3DS as consideration lol.

And seeing the gameplay is like Super Robot Wars Original Generation on DS, the gameplay is going to hell of fun where you will keep trying to combine each different combo with different character here.

      •  This is a 3DS game. But it looks like a DS game. The sprites are very simple, and in some cases quite ugly (just see Seth. He looks terrible). The gameplay doesn’t look very fun to me. It looks like they didn’t want to do a proper fighter so they threw in a simple fighting mechanic and then tried to buy is with famous game characters. That said I haven’t enjoyed Super Robot Wars on DS like you did. So the trailers are just putting me off really. I thought it could be a great game until I saw those trailers.

  • Hm, Can Heihachi be recruited as ally later on upon defeating him?

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Love the fact that we will face Skeith there.^_^ SKEITHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • XiaomuArisu

The only thing missing in the Batsu close-up are manly tearsXD
BTW Am I the only hearing Jedah laughing when I see this pics?

  • Leonard Norwood Jr.

They are making sure that Project X Zone will be quite the game to pick up..I have nothing else to say about how it’s looking
