By Spencer . September 13, 2012 . 7:22am

imageTecmo Koei is backing Wii U with two titles at launch Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and Warriors Orochi 2 Hyper (that should be Warriors Orochi 3 for the West, I think!) are scheduled to launch along side the system in Japan.

Sangokushi 12 and Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 are also in development for Wii U.

While, i don’t really care about Warrior Orochi there…….. Sangokushi 12.^_^ ALL MY LOVE!!!

I need more love for Romance of Three Kingdom series here.^_^

If the Wii U version of Warriors Orochi 3 can run at a constant 60 FPS I’ll probably bite.

  • Rentekabond

If it has English Voices, I am gonna be so mad that I spent $50 on the Ps3 Version T~T

  • Budgiecat

    Wii U buy it?

  • Klaus00

Koei has to try their very best to make me buy Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper , definitely knew I should’ve waited for an improved edition of Ninja Gaiden 3

I love Samurai Warriors/Dynasty Warriors games.  They are simple hack and slash, but after a stressful day, there’s nothing like mindlessly tearing through generic troops.

Hyper ??? Huh… ok… what does that mean though ? If I had to guess…

    – The addition of Guo Jia, Pang De and Wang Yi from Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends and Xu Shu from Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires, both versions being released after WO3.

    – The addition of Takatora Tōdō, Munenori Yagyū and Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2nd, a game that comes out today in Japan (Sept. 13th).

    – The addition of Seimei Abe and Ninja Gaiden’s Rachel from the PSP version of WO3.

    – the addition of Nintendo guest characters, like Takamaru from Castle Murasame (like in Samurai Warriors 3), Link, Zero-Suit Samus (both as seen as costumes in Dynasty Warriors VS for 3DS; actual characters this time around) and Pit from Kid Icarus Uprising (new addition). BTW, there are 4 types of characters in WO3: Power, Speed, Technique and Wonder. Takamaru would be Technique, Link would be Power, ZS Samus would be Speed and Pit would be Wonder.

    – the addition of new mythical characters, like Peach Boy, Amaterasu and Tsukoyumi (both who are Susano’o’s siblings; would fit for a 3-character group as well). BTW, my knowledge of Chinese Mythology is downright awful… aside from Hua Mulan, the lady who fought the Huns disguised as a male soldier to take over from her crippled father; aside from that, sorry for not providing more examples, because I don’t know much else.

    – the addition of ENGLISH VOICES (not “substitution of Japanese voices by”), as the PS3/360 version only has Japanese voices.

    – the addition of the Battle Royale Mode, from the PSP version of WO3.

That would be a cool package ^_^

We have Guo Jia, Pang De and Wang Yi in WO3.

    • You are asking for too much and the nintendo character doesn’t belong to KOEI and they just won’t fit in (facepalm)

It’s been so tempting to buy Warriors Orochi 3 on the 360 since it’s been seeing price cuts, and I almost bought it recently too. Now I’m going to have to wait and see how this “Hyper” edition turns out.

If there’s any Koei Musou game that needed an upgraded edition for Wii U, I would have liked to see Samurai Warriors 3 get such a treatment. Imagine putting in not only the XL (and maybe even Empires) additions, but using the touchscreen in the same way SW Chronicles does for character switching and route planning.

  • kinda betrayal for their fans… we bought the original game but we can’t play the upgrade version?

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Lol, the PSP always had the upgraded version here. Why now you scream betrayal lol.
