Yeah, that’s pretty much all the incentive in the world I needed to get my hands on this. Can’t wait! ლ(-`Д´-ლ)

  • Reiko_Chan

    Cant wait for this game!

  • Well dang Im SOLD. I was thinking this was going to be a PSP game that you can digitally download on the Vita, but since its having a Vita version aswell I guess that one comes with improved graphics and such

  • neo_firenze

Good news in that it makes a potential North American release a more reasonable possibility.  PSP only may have been the kiss of death, but a Vita version…

  • Yes! Now all we need is localization news =^_^=

  • nirvana123

awesome i just got the first one the other day and Im loving it. have to get a vita first but I’m looking forward to it.

    That is all.

  • Domii

This is awesome news! Hey Ishaan, do you think Namco’s decision to include this for the Vita is due to their software sales on PSP slowing down? Or was this planned for a Vita release in the first place?

    • My guess would be that this was in the cards early on, before anyone had any idea of how the Vita was going to perform. I remember the Japanese blogs reporting rumours of this several months ago.

It’s going to be interesting to see how things go, with this coming out the same year as Monster Hunter 4!

      • Domii

Very interesting indeed. Thanks for the reply.

      • DarthSithZero

I Still want to see a MH game on the vita but this should be “enough” for now

        • You are likely not going to see that for a long time.

          • nirvana123

Can i ask if thats just due to capcom and nintendos good relationship right now. Or is it  something else?

          • It’s due to the plan Capcom seem to have laid out for the main Monster Hunter series for the foreseeable future, which appears to be 3DS/Wii U cross-compatible releases, and trying to grow the brand further in both Japan and the west.

  • Spider-Man

So hype! Awwwwww yeah! Just gimme dat localization and we’re good to go!

  • Barrit

Day 1 for me if it gets localized. The first one jumped to the front of the line in my backlog, and this will do the same!

Namco’s decision was plain awesome, can’t wait for this game to come to the West~.

  • YES YES Vita version.  Now D3/Namco has no excuses.

    • natchu96

Except for retardedness, which is not an excuse for everyone else.

Do hope it gets localized somehow, though. I loved Burst.

  • Raiyu

    2013…? But I thought this was coming out this year…;_;

  • God is good…

Oh crud, did I just make a pun?!

  • xXDGFXx

They said Vita? They said Vita! WOo! One of the best monster hunter-ish games made.

  • Ryan Chiu

Oh God. This has better come out in North America. D3, I’m counting on you! Either that or someone else. Anyone else.

    • ZEROthefirst

NONONONO! NO D3! I want this game in English, but I don’t want to get the game and not be able to get any of the DLC for the game aside from pre-ordering.

      • Well, technically, those who didn’t pre-order got the DLC in the end, but both those who pre-order and didn’t pre-order never got the other DLC beyond Caligula and Venus.

        • ZEROthefirst

I know, there was a way to get some of te Japanese DLC to actually work too. Although seeig as how well D3 localized the game you had to do everything under the sun to get the dlc from them to work and then marvel at the PSP home menu still in Chinese lol

          • Syn

            You mean Japanese.

          • ZEROthefirst

No the home menu on the English version of the game was left in Chinese not Japanese.

  • ZEROthefirst

I know I say this a lot when I get excited but truely tonight my pants have been soiled.

  • Raze

You know what to do now right?Right??

  • psycho_bandaid

I like God Eater a lot more than MonHun. This will be a definite purchase for me if it comes westward and a probable import if Namco decides they hate us.

  • neogeno

This news is full of so much WIN. They actually are going to make a release for BOTH handhelds, make data transferable, AND have cross-compatibility. I really have to wonder how in the world they got that to work. I assumed that Vitas and PSPs would work differently when it came to online (edit: Ad hoc specifically). Glad there is a way around that wall.

All that remains is a localization announcement and I believe I will have strong reason to get a Vita!

    • There’s no mention of online at all. As far as we know, this is referring to local multiplayer.

      • neogeno

Yes, of course. Ad hoc was what I had originally meant. I should have been more clear about it.

    • Plus just like monster hunter this probably won’t have online.

  • Fantastic. Great news. Hope they localize. We seriously need more games on the other regions.

  • Go2hell66

This is great news, more co-op hunting action for my psv

  • AzuNo17

Been resisting the urge to buy a Vita. Now I must have one… during this game’s release!

  • That means… a chance for english version right?

  • PersonaSpace

I think this just totally increased the chance of seeing this in the states, although I’d prefer if someone other than D3 localized it. They totally screwed up on DLC for us.

  • sherimae1324

  • I hope there is online play on the vita version.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

With this news here, the chance for this game to come overseas is actually higher now.^_^

    Vita version FTW.^_^

    Plz localise this, D3/Bamco.

All the enemies we know and love/hate seem to be back, like Ogretail, Chi You, Sariel, Vajra . . .

Marduk looks beast (literally), and still seems to have that burst effect.
      Kota looks pretty good. (I notice 0:25 seems like a Kota+Alisa shot . . . but that long handle . . . Alisa has a spear?!?)

The 2013 release part is a long wait, but then again, I’ll run out of excuses to buy games this year anyway, and I guess if some sort of localization company would take it up soon then they have time.

  • Time to dust off that PS3 for AdHoc parties! I mean, I’d only really play this game online when I’m snug and at home anyway ^^;

    • s07195

I thought it was PSP and PSV simultaneous release, not PS3…

      • AdHoc party is a PS3 app that lets you play local PSP games online with people as if they were in the same room.

I use it for Monster Hunter and Gods Eater, sometimes Dissidia :3

        • s07195

          Never knew that. Guess I’ll look out for it when I get my PS3 (like, never) ;_;

  • Dunno what to say but I thought the last time they said it will be release this year /facepalm
Oh well, that’s good to hear, because it will boost psvita popularity, don’t get me wrong i  don’t have vita. Let just see how will they handle it…
BTW must get this one, what about localization?

  • Would dearly love to hear this title would get localisation.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

  • Since this has a Vita version, you think there’ll be more hope for an english release?
