Namco Bandai are giving upcoming Nintendo 3DS crossover RPG, Project X Zone, a big push at the Tokyo Game Show. Namco have plastered the subway station right outside TGS with with ads for the game. Check out this giant poster with all of the game’s characters and the ads below it:

Project X Zone is a role-playing game being worked on by Xenoblade Chronicles developer, Monolith Soft, who are a subsidiary of Nintendo. The game contains characters from Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega franchises, and will be released on October 11th in Japan. You can watch the latest trailer for the game here.

      •  The Frack is wrong with you? Yuri Lowell is BAMF

        • ParaChomp

Oh, I thought they meant the other kind of yuri.  With that in mind, does that name make you more or less manly?

  • That is how you sell a game!

  • Lightthrower

    *Eagerly awaiting his copy*

  • zetsuboushita!! the 3ds’ region lock preventing me to play this game without buying another unit has left me in despair!!

    • J

      Maybe they’ll localize?

      •  thats a big maybe though but if they did……. oohhhh yyyyeeeaaaahhhhh!

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Bamco already mention that they are going to release this game as long as the sale in Japan is great.

So lets hope that they can achieve the sale they wanted there and localize them here.

  • Eliézer Dos Santos

This is the coolest thing I saw today. And it’s a TGS day.

  • LynxAmali

THIS is how you market a ‘niche’ game! Not just online teasers!
If only North American ‘niche’ publishers would do the same…

I need that Sanger and T-elos poster!
    NEED, man.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Sanger only have that small size of picture? BLASPHEMYYYY!!!

  • Herok♞

I swear if they sell that really large poster/wall mural I would buy two.

  • FFmax

I know this has been said thousands of times before but, please localize this.

  • XypherCode

I’d really like to have that huge poster XD

    • AuraGuyChris

Not even your room’s wall can handle it!

      • XypherCode

I’ll try my room’s floor instead. XD

  • PreyMantis

If these posters were on an event like this, I swear, they’ll be in my bag within seconds of sight.

  • Shadowman

I want the Megaman X and the Ryu Poster that like sweeet.

  • Tom_Phoenix

That’s great!….But let’s hope the gameplay is also improved. One of the biggest problems with Namco x Capcom was the fact that the gameplay was slow and clunky (even by the standards of the genre).

There’s no doubt in my mind that the gameplay played a big role as to why NxC wasn’t all that well received and didn’t sell many copies, so I hope they stepped up their game for this one.

    • LynxAmali

It’s using Endless Frontier’s battle system from the looks of it with some minor additions.

      • Tom_Phoenix

Which only serves to make me concerned, since Endless Frontier was an RPG. This, however, is a turn-based tactics game, so there’s no guarantee that same system will work just as well in a different genre.

        • Just Tim

I mean, they could take a cue from Devil Survivor, given the team aspect that allows Endless Frontier’s combo system.

  • kuroneko0509

    need a poster of this

  • Saint_Stahn

I don’t know about you guys but that Arisu Reiji poster is looking mighty tasty… Hopefully now in japan he will get even MORE recognition.

  • Shiki

    Su.. SUGEE!!! ~~~ O0O
I need THIS .. AND THE GAME!!!!

  • Nirun Rangraengjit

I’d like this game to get a bigger push… over to America and Europe… so I can buy it… and give them my money. Catch my drift?

  • I want this game so bad.  But I know that I’m never gonna get it.  Localized or otherwise.

  • ParaChomp

    Wow…talk about advertising.

  • Christopher Dean

If this doesn’t get localized, I’ll be leading an Operation Rainfall 2.

  • keithmaxx

When you say “subway station right outside TGS”, which one are you referring to, exactly? All I know is that Makuhari Messe is near Kaihin Makuhari which is definitely NOT a subway station.

Why am I asking? I wanna sneak around and tear away some of those panels. XD

  • I have high expectations for this game.

  • Zonic505

I seriously want that long poster. Or just SOME poster showing off all the characters in the game.

  • Göran Isacson

Gotta admit it warms the cockles of my heart to see this game get so much awesome attention. Even if it is mostly just a silly game for the fans, it’s still nice to see a silly game for the fans get a big-ass poster draped across a whole subway.

  • This game only has everything.

  • Natat

    … Wow. Just… wow.

  • Just Tim

Saenger Sombold!?  Scheisse ja!  Und, wo ist Raetsel Feinschmecker?
