New Persona 4: Golden Screens Show The Protagonist Leveling Up Knowledge

The protagonist in Persona 4 starts the game with average courage, rough expression, basic understanding, callow diligence, and informed when it comes to knowledge. I think that’s better than Persona 3′s hero who begins his journey as a "slacker" in the academics stat and timid in courage.

Players can boost the five social stats by doing part time jobs or through afterschool activities. There’s power in folding envelopes and reading books like "The Great Man." You need to build these stats to establish certain social links, bonds that give the Persona 4 protagonist access to more powerful personas. Persona 4: Golden adds a brand new social link with Marie, a mysterious girl who stylish clothes and perhaps a connection to the Velvet Room.

Persona 4: Golden will be available on November 20 in North America and early 2013 in Europe.

Ahhh… looking at all of these, I can’t wait to see it come in the mail :3

  • Herok♞

I wonder if night would be usefull to do social links.

    • r0gamer940

yes certain dialogue choices require certain levels and entire social links require a high level in a certain rank

      • Herok♞

Sorry what I meant was I wonder if they are going to add or change social links since apparently they added night to this version of P4

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/5UFEVTPDTXD33NSMUFMX4TEAMQ Mike

Actually there is one social link that takes place at night for some of it(the Adachi S link, I don’t remeber what level exactly)

other then that you can talk to the people and raise their points(affection whatever you whant to call it) and make leveling the link easier(can’t level at night)

          night is mostly for shopping.

(sorry if the Adachi Link is spoiler)

          • Herok♞

Its cool I already knew about the Adachi link, and besides he just likes to talk about murders so nothings spoiled.

What Mike said, but you can get some interesting dialogue, interactions and whatnot at night.

It’s still two months away!? I’m having a bear-y tough time waiting for it..

  • Quinton Cunningham

I don’t really dig how often P4 pulls the “You don’t have enough X to say that”.

I guess it’s the lack of confidence but really calculated

I remember those social stats and offer a tip to those who never played this game.

Go to Aiya on Rainy days and make sure you have 3000 yen or more(or 6000, 9000, etc…3000 for every rainy day in a row)

this is one of the best places to level up social stats since Aiya’s raises 3 out of Courage/Diligence/Knowledge/Understanding, Expression needs to be maxed in other ways(max that out during normal encounters, part time jobs, and reading books)

If you do this it will be a cake walk to max them all by the end.

Got this game for 5 dollars less than it actually costs on Amazon, because I ordered it back in May. Europe got shafted with this one there is a pretty big time gap between releases; man i feel bad for them.

It sucks, but I’ll wait. Anything to show some support for the series in the ol’ continent.

This game has so much style. It’s looking beautiful on Vita, the art alone has actually changed quite a bit from the PS2 version that it’s worth owning both. The characters look the same but some of the environments definitely got an overhaul. Looking forward to a full playthrough on this one since I never did 100% the original.

I wouldn’t be surprised if P5 ends up with a version for Vita or a cross play/cross buy or even remote play. It’s a damn capable little system, hoping this will help kickstart some enthusiasm and confidence in more third parties.

    • Dantis

The environments are actually nearly all exactly the same, you’ve just forgotten how good it looked on the PS2. The only one which is changed is the one they showed a while back, when you’re walking home with Chie and Yukiko.

Oh cool, well even better. It’s good to see this on a better screen and scaled properly for the new resolution.

    SOCIAL LINK GO??

    and….

    >You don’t have enough common sense to say that.

Also, the anime actually show us just how d*mn big is the Aiya bowl lol. No wonder you need so many stat for it.

“You got a real attitude problem, McArisato, you’re a slacker.”

  • OatMatadoQuatro

“I think that’s better than Persona 3′s hero who begins his journey as a “slacker” in the academics stat and timid in courage”I guess that’s why Minato didn’t talk too much in Persona 3 but how is it that karaoke, coffee and studies transformed him into a pimp?
