Nintendo of America announced New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC details for North America in a Nintendo Direct Mini of their own this morning. You can watch the video above, and find a summary of the details below.

Like Japan, North America will get three DLC packs, and each pack will contain three stages. The Gold Rush Pack will transform you into Gold Mario, and let you collect up to 30,000 additional coins. Coin Challenge Pack A will let you compete for a high score on the game’s online leaderboards. Finally, the Nerve-Wrack Pack will include a trio of tough stages designed for veterans to play.

Each pack will cost $2.50 and will be available starting October 4th in North America. Nintendo of America say that a second batch of DLC will be made available at the end of October, and a third at the end of November.

If you guys are looking for a challenge check out the nerve wrack one. It’s ridiculous

I know this isn’t the point, but how do these prices line up to the price/level ratio of the main game?

    Just curious.

There are 80 levels in the $40 game. $1 for 2 levels. The dlc packs have 3 levels stringed together for coin rush at $2.50. So less then a dollar per level. It’s about right

Hooo, a pack with 3 stage for 2.5bucks seems to be quite a nice deal especially the nerve wreck one there.^_^

My maso sense is tingling here lol.^_^
