This Week In Imports: Time For Time And Eternity

By Spencer . October 8, 2012 . 4:10pm

imageImageepoch’s HD animation RPG, Time and Eternity: Toki Towa is one of this week’s hotly anticipated games. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy which is currently #2 on Amazon Japan’s best sellers chart behind Animal Crossing, but above Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney is coming out as well. Unless Square Enix springs a surprise for the winter, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy will be their main holiday title. Project X Zone is hovering at #5 just under Tales of Xillia 2.

In North America, Atlus has Code of Princess, there are three new Pokémon games, and there is 2K’s XCOM revival. Not the third person shooter, the strategy RPG designed by Civilization developer Firaxis.

3DS has a good week. I hope default comes over here as i know project x zone has no real chance unless nintendo gets involved

    • LynxAmali

PxZ really has nothing to do with Nintendo, aside from being on the 3DS. That’s like saying Sony had something to do with NxC.

If anything, it’s all up to Bandai Namco, Capcom USA and Sega USA.

      • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Only bamco though. Sega and capcom has no thing at all on the localization here.^_^,

      • $29082171

Actually the game itself is being developed by a Nintendo studio, which is Monolith Soft.

Though that’s probably because they were the ones that made NxC and the SRW games as well.

        • LynxAmali

-Though that’s probably because they were the ones that made NxC and the SRW games as well.

          NxC, yes.

SRW games, aside from Endless Frontier, no.

And I was referring to who would bring it over. There is no way in hell that Nintendo would have any push or shove when it came to it.

Well, the words you used were ”PxZ really has nothing to do with Nintendo, aside from being on the 3DS.”.

      • nirvana123

I know I’m saying nintendo as a neutral party to make it good for all three partys.

  • So curious to see how well will Toki to Towa, Bravely Default and Project X Zone will perform this week. It’s gunna be one helluva week for japanese gamers!

  • Hoshi星

Tokitowa: how I am so tempted to import this game. But I’ll wait for an eventually localisation. Let’s hope hard!

Will be interesting to see what the reviews for this one will be like. There’s still so many questions and mysteries surrounding just how this game works that it’ll be interesting to see how well it goes over.

  • Can’t wait for Code of Princess to finally get here. Been wanting to play something on my 3DS for a while but haven’t had the cash.

  • Paradox me

Very interested in seeing Dishonored’s Japanese sales and how gamers/press react to that level of player freedom. Considering the seemingly non-existent Japanese market for traditional PC games (thus missing out on classics like Thief, System Shock, etc.), I bet it’ll be unlike anything they’ve ever played before.

I’ll be waiting for a hefty discount on Steam myself (Human Revolution was under $10 in less than a year), but it seems like an interesting game.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Considering it is released on 360 which is a considerable niche consoles in japan and the genre is not particullary famous in japan, I am not even sure whether the game will chart or not there.

Not to mention toki towa amd bravely default is coming the same week.^_^

      • Kevadu

Er…it’s on PS3 too.  I agree that it’s probably not going to sell a lot, but what does being on the 360 have to do with anyting?  You’re talking like it’s a 360 exclusive.

        • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Sorry, i thought it is only released on 360 there.T_T Well, what i said is still kinda there sadly as Japanese gamer will surely bought PxZ and Bravely Default first there.

If Dishonored was actually released on other date, maybe it can sell more there.

  • riceisnice

“Bravely Default: Flying Fairy which is currently #2 on Amazon Japan’s best sellers chart behind ANIMAL CROSSING”

  • Mnstrzero00

Code of Princess from what I’ve been able to find is a critically flawed game- you can bost one stat and totally dominant everthing. Has anybody heard otherwise?

  • I hope Bravely Default sells well.  Square Enix likes to screw me out of any good game I want recently.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

This week is going to be an interesting here as it can shows whether 3ds is able to become psp succesor or not here.^_^

Bravely default and pxz is going to be this week behemoth lol.^_^

  • Time for Time and Eternity. I see what you did there =P

  • FelixJRPG

really love that cover art xD

  • Project x Zone, someday. Someday I’ll play the **** out of you!

  • KHSoraKeyBlade

Wow I completely forgot White 2 was out this Friday. Well yay.
I hope now with the release of Bravely Default tomorrow that we will be hearing some localization news in the future :D

  • malek86

Retro City Rampage interests me, but I ultimately went for Hotline Miami.

I wonder if Tokitowa will sell more or less than Sol Trigger (we still need numbers for Sol Trigger anyway).

    • xavier axol

i heard that the psn will have cross buy, get the ps3 version and you get the vita version for FREE!. i saw the trailer and it blew me away, it really is “a love letter to 8bit era of video games with a touched of GTA”. for $14.99 is a steal!.

  • Why Bravely default is not on the title of the article ?
I hope i find it on the top ten in “This week In Sales” ..Cause I think a lot FF (final you-know-what (and shame if you don’t)) fans will want it.

  • Thank goodness there is no Vita title out this week, but even if there was one, it would get demolished.

Even though I’m interested in Toki Towa and Project X Zone, Bravely Default is the only one i’m interested in seeing how it sales. I wonder if they’ve released the game and Project X Zone as DD?

  • KingGunblader

I wonder when Time and Eternity will release here? With Ni No Kuni coming in January and Xillia in April-May, AND Neptunia V all coming in 2013, I don’t want this one to get lost.

  • 21603

Wish I had the money to waste on Tokitowa. I’d really love to see it in motion on a big screen, but not being able to understand it would just be a waste of 100 Buckazoids, cash-monies.

What’s with the Vita Ninja releases. Never heard of Sunflowers, but vaguely remember seeing a poor quality video of Spy Hunter months ago. Did not know it was due for release.

    I want Tokitowa!

  • l777l

They should call FF Versus “Time and Eternity”.
