Xseed Releasing PlayStation Vita Music Strategy Game Orgarhythm In October

By Spencer . October 8, 2012 . 1:00pm

imageOrgarhythm, Xseed’s third PlayStation Vita game, is coming to PlayStation Network as a $29.99 digital release on October 23. Orgarhythm blends rhythm game elements with a real time strategy game. Players tap on the beat to select a unit type, tap again to pick an element, and swipe to place troops.

Orgarhythm is the first game from Neilo, a new video game studio founded by Takashi Hirai who is best known for working on Rez and Space Channel 5. Check out our impressions of the game here or download a demo from Japan’s PlayStation Store.

Awesome, while I can’t get it right away since October and November have my wallet crying I’ll be sure to grab it in December.

    • How many are there…? But in any case there is no such thing as too many.

I have no idea, but I’m going to get Silent (purists can shut it, let’s be honest, SH stopped being SH since the third, or arguably, the fourth) Hill Book of Memories, Zero Escape and Ragnarok Odyssey.

        • I’m getting what your getting minus SH not my kind of game.

This should be a bit cheaper, to be honest.  I don’t see them launching on Google Play (this and Suimoni are being ported, remember?) for $30.  $20 seems about right for a download only game that isn’t a 100 hour JRPG.  I’ll probably get it anyway, but still.

And yeah, the “Vita has no games” argument should be officially out to pasture come its 1 year NA anniversary.  I have a backlog of about 10 Vita games and 5 PSP games (I’ve officially retired about another two dozen that I’ve accepted I’ll never get around to playing too).

    • Music is not cheap, at all.

29,99 for  a digital release HELL NOO!

This is going to be a very rare game indeed – one of the few Xseed releases I will not be picking up, and I’ve been buying their games ever since Wild Arms 4 and Shadow Hearts: From the New World.  Joins the select company of Fishing Resort, Populous DS, and, um… not a whole heck of a lot else they’ve ever published.

I’m just not feeling the game, seems like an inferior mish-mash of several other games.  On my Vita, I already have Project Diva f for a pure rhythm game, Army Corps of Hell for a whacked out Pikmin-ish RTS (not to mention New Little King’s Story for an RTS-blend Vita game), Patapon for a rhythm/strategy hybrid…

Plus that $29.99 price tag. If it was $19.99 like Sumioni I might bite as an impulse buy.  Otherwise, I’ll pass and wait for Xseed’s next quality release (Ragnarok Odyssey in this case)
