Capcom have updated the official website for Monster Hunter 4 with screenshots and images of the new features that were detailed in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. You can catch up with those details here.

First off, here’s the Underground Cave area that Famitsu detailed. As reported, this area is designed with a 3D field structure unlike previous areas that we’ve seen in the series:

Next up is Tetsukabura, an amphibious monster that uses its jaw like a shovel to hit you with dirt and rocks. You can find art work and screenshots of him below:

Moving along, we have Nelskula, who hangs from ceilings and can attack players with its sickle-shaped jaw or shoot webbing that prevents you from moving:

Here’s Gypceros from Monster Hunter Frontier Online, who emits a ring of light that can make hunters faint. He also spits venom at hunters:

And finally, we come to Yian Kut-Ku, who now has the ability to prey on smaller monsters to restore its health:

That’s a lot of pictures! Looks like a PS2 gen game, classic MH! Some of those textures are soo muddy, bleh. Well, it will probably still be fun, since it will have online and all.

Lol, that comment is surely a bad comment there. Well, considering that 3DS pics had never shows how it looks in game.

We should just wait for the demo there.

Just a small correction, Gypceros will probably be more well known from Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I don’t believe Gypceros was in Monster Hunter Frontier.

It was. It’s been there since the first game, actually. I think it only got skipped on Tri.

Tetsukabara looks sick there. It seems it can throws rock and roll to attack player.

The underground cave actually look really nice there as it has some green sulfur and also some burning rocks?

REminds me of my first encounter with the Red Dragon on Phantasy Online Dreamcast….thank you Sega for giving us a game that launched a thousand imitations. I hope PSO2 makes it big!

  • Crevox

Gypceros is from the original “Monster Hunter”, not Frontier Online.

  • Spider-Man

It irks me when I keep seeing you guys mention that Gypceros is from the Frontier. He’s from the original game.
