Aveline’s Three Disguises In Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation

By Ishaan . October 18, 2012 . 10:30am

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation has a “persona system” that allows Aveline to don different guises, each one with its own abilities and limitations. As previously detailed, there are three of these in the game—Slave, Lady (aristocrat) and Assassin. This week, Ubisoft shared  a few more details on each.

The Slave persona lets Aveline blend in with slaves and other workers. In this guise, she can pick up a crate to blend in with the crowd of workers as well as call on her fellow workers to cause public disturbances and distractions on her behalf. Going by past information, she’s also lightly armoured in this guise and can’t take much of a beating.

The Lady persona allows Aveline to socialize with the wealthy and the privileged. In the Lady guise, she can bribe certain individuals to open up new assassination opportunities, but has limited weaponry. She can carry a parasol gun that serves as a one-shot stealth weapon, and is unable to run or fight.

Finally, Aveline’s Assassin persona is the one you’ll spend the most time in. In the Assassin guise, she has access to all of her regular weapons and abilities, but sticks out like a sore thumb and draws more attention from guards and the like.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will be released for the PlayStation Vita on October 30th.

I wish I was into these open world games. This game looks amazing, and my Vita needs more games.

I like that she can’t run in the noble outfit.

I would love to see her rip that restrictive clothing off and bolt down the street nude though.

I bet a lot of people would like that..

:D the best disguise was when Ezio dressed up as a bard and started insulting them in Italian.

Gosh I so much want to get this game, but I am afraid I wouldn’t understand the story, because as I have said before I have never played a game in the series.

Damn, thats horrible man….well, at least you will enjoy the gameplay, yes i know, that’s only a really small and unsatisfying part of videogames but there is people who enjoy that kind of things (damn weirdos dude, damn weirdos).

You probably wouldn’t get the overarching story portions but this isn’t a direct sequel nor does it have anything to do w/Desmond and his ancestors (the main characters of the other games) so you should be fine.

Love the noblewoman look she has going on.

This game looks more and more outstanding, considering how bad the first portable AC was, I’m impressed they’ve improved so much between iterations~.

Well it’s different since ubisoft is actually making the vita version rather than griptonite games who made bloodlines. and while montreal isn’t directly involved, they are actually helping this time around (how can one tell?). well… they are using the same engine as it’s console counter-part (just a down scale version that is not that noticeable), they share the same improvements (like climb & jump on trees), and also are both taking place around the same time (connor and aveline will actually meet each other!). so it also helps that the vita is capable of reding almost ps3 graphics (just look at the video gameplay from uncharted and also this game as well) . did i mention that it will also have multiplayer!? (“it will be unique to the vita”, that’s what the director told on several occasions) i hope is as awesome as what i seen so far, this game is definitely the best vita game ever!!! (so far). until persona4 golden.

i’m definitely upgrading to the assassin’s creed 3: liberation bundle (i’m liking the vita white finish) and the game sure looks on par with it’s console counter part (graphics, story, and gameplay wise). if people had been holding off on buying the vita, i say now it’s the time purchase one. the list of games for the vita is assuring me that i will have enough content to keep me busy through next year. i’m also looking forward to ragnarok odyssey and persona 4 golden, and don’t get me started with my ps3!. i just can’t keep up this lifestyle, it will leave me bronke! and homeless.
