After watching the anime for two times, and then halfway through the dub, I still pray the game has tons and tons of stuff that anime watchers can enjoy from this with lots of good details and more indepth coverage of social links swiftly glanced over.

I also wanna know how to get the person that she used in the final episode, looked epic.

    • The anime has some funny moments, but there’s some awful animation problems everywhere. That, and they obviously swiftly glanced through S Links due to the lack of time. The game is a lot of fun, and there’s a ton of things to do even if you know a good chunk of the things that’s going to happen. My play through of P4 original lasted 56 hours and all the anime does is just cram everything into a 26 episodes.

You have to beat the game once with the true ending to get to Margaret.

  • Tales_of_Master

My beautiful Solid Gold Premium Edition, here I come :D Oh I’m gonna sink thousands of hours into this once it’s released. Not to mention by that time I’ll have Assassin’s Creed Liberation and Disgaea 3. I’m gonna be a very happy Vita owner :D

  • The All-Out Attack cut in looked different from how it was in P4

    • yoUNg_grOUp568

Because it is different than how it was in the original

  • Pokahontas McGuigan

if this came out in the summer id still care but localization has taken forever and ive lost interest

    • Hraesvelgr

Five months is considered “taking forever” now? Jesus…

      • Pokahontas McGuigan

Yea 5 months is forever (like this response) and seeing as it was previously translated it should have been a simultanious release

  • I’ll patiently wait for the Spring 2013 release.

It’s Shin megami tensei. It’s worth the wait. This is a series that needs to grow in Europe, and if I can do something about it, then I’ll gladly wait. Just as I did with Graces F and other games.

    • I’m with you there! Just got P2:IS and P3P from the Ghostlight sale and other games still to start/ finish so I’m good. Plus, Ni no Kuni and others… I can wait. :D

      •  I still need to get dat P2: IS eventually. I’m sparing some for Devil Survivor: Overclocked >.> And Virtue’s Last Reward next month! (which is kinda unrelated but I still want it badly :D)

        • I need to get Persona 1 now cos I’m enjoying P2:IS. Argh! Don’t remind me! I need to get Overclocked and VLR (both versions). I need a job badly. :(

I’m sort of glad some of the games got pushed back, gives me time to get a job -> get money -> games become more enjoyable since a job makes them so.

          •  Pretty much yes! Thankfully I started working again recently, even tho I’m not being paid that well. But well enough to get these games at the very least :D

I’m also quite relieved they were pushed back a little. Heck I didn’t even get a Vita just yet for P4 Golden :x

    • teddy leger

well then great news for you, its gonna be released next month, fall 2012, yaknow, they have only been advertising the pre-order bonuses for like, 6 months >.>

      • In the US. I live in Europe, and I’ll wait until the Spring, 2013 release to actually purchase it here, to support the series in Europe ;)

Oh trust me, I’ve been keeping score with this game ever since it was announced for Japan.

  • Prinnydoom

I have to say it because its been bugging me for years but does anyone else think that the colour scheme of P4 is kind of hippyish……not trying to offend anyone its just the only way i could explain it. Also this is looking good keep em coming ^___^

  • disgaea36

This is so dumb I hate when they do stuff like this. All this new added stuf should have been in the original. I love persona 3 and 4 but those games took over 100 hours each i would not traverse that adventure again.

    • Herok♞

You hate when remakes that add stuff that wasn’t in the original but your username is disgaea, which is a series notorious for doing just that.

      • Tien Ron

        LOL ^ agreed

      • disgaea36

Yeah too bad this is not a remake more like an enhanced port. disgaea is notorious for porting the first disgaea to every possible electronic device and that was only due to the fact that besides 3 and 4 disgaea 1 and 2 went rare instantly. The developers obviously wanted people not to miss out on the first adventure that started it all so no matter what system you had you could play the game and not have to pay and arm and a leg. The following ones were all sequels that added new things all around with 2 and 3 getting 1 port to a handheld device and i think 2 was made available for cellphones too not too sure. Also my username is just a name it has nothing to do with my preferences.

        • Herok♞

Well Mike already said what this added, and you can’t assume they could throw all the ideas they wanted in the first time around, like now you can go online and help other people something that wasn’t viable on the ps2, but you do have a point about the disgaea games.

          • disgaea36

yeah I figured that’s why i said if this was ps3 it would have Been DLC but oh well

    • Why would someone buy a port that added nothing?

If nothing was added they’d just buy the PS2 version for about $17 before buying it for $40, Then this game woulden’t exist.

      • disgaea36

true but they could have added all that stuff to the original and in this one make a port of it and include a whole different chapter like they did in fes or just make the persona 4 characters do something else like they did in arena that would be exclusive to the vita. That would be, more rewarding but they know they can just do whatever and the fans will eat it up.

        • they did add an epilouge after the true ending if that helps.

new attacks, a whole new area to explore, you can go out at night, the Adachi and Marie S.Links, new gameplay elements, and new dungeon and boss.

          so yeah they added alot.

          • disgaea36

oh well IMHO I don’t think it’s worth dishing out more money to buy a whole new system and game. But developers do this all the time just wish they would have just kept in the original.

          • sherimae1324

stop complaining and just buy the damn game on november 20th!!!

          • Tianyu Wei

So it just boils down to: “I don’t have a VITA”.

If you like this kind of game, the VITA has PLENTY of other games down the pipeline like this. This year end toward the beginning of 2013 is FILLED with all sorts of Japanese goodies.

      • The same reason why people are buying Final Fantasy X for the Vita.

        • I completely forgot about FF X lol

          thanks for reminding me.

        • Elvick

At this point, I’d say that it’s safe to take FFX off the table until Square stops dodging questions about it.

      • The same reason why people would buy a port that added nothing but 3D?

…what, you’re telling me it’s OKAY to buy LoZ: Ocarina of Time 3DS, eventhough it barely added ANYTHING new just because it’s the most overhyped LoZ game in gaming history? And yet, P4 Golden, which actually DO add some new stuff, is pointless since one might as well get the PS2 version?

This post has so much fail that it’s painful to read.

        • what? did you even follow the conversation? I’m defending P4G here so What the hell are you talking about?

“This is so dumb I hate when they do stuff like this. All this new added stuf should have been in the original. I love persona 3 and 4 but those games took over 100 hours each i would not traverse that adventure again. ”

this was disgaeas comment and I replied to him saying…

“If nothing was added they’d just buy the PS2 version for about $17 before buying it for $40, Then this game woulden’t exist.”

The guy above was coplaining about stuff being added to the game that wasen’t in the PS2 version.

I was defending it by saying why would they buy a port if they diden’t add anything to it.(there would be no incentive)

If your going to reply please make sure you understand what I’m saying or at least read the conversation first.(unless I wasen’t clear in my previous post, If thats the case I apologize for the misunderstanding)

          • *rereads* Ah….my fault then. Sorry. What I saw was:-
“Why would someone buy a port that added nothing?”

      • XYZ_JolteonZ980

People rebuy games that are fun even if they have old hardware that could play the game but they want to own it for new hardware as well. I guess.

    • To be brutally honest, if you’ve played P4 before, this one really doesn’t add THAT much to the experience. Marie’s SL is probably the laziest one Atlus has done so far imo, and while the rest of the new content and tweaks are really appreciated, it doesn’t change the experience drastically.

Some of the fanservice is just really silly too, but I won’t get into it.

      • disgaea36

        ohhh okay

    • CountMarth92

*laughs while shaking his head in disgust* I don’t know what da hell you’re smoking, dawg. but Golden is looking fucking amazing. From the looks of things, you seem to be very ignorant to understand remakes, and how they benefit. Sucks to be you, buddy.

I put hours to the original and I gave it to a friend. Now I cannot wait to enjoy the amazing experience again with P4: Golden on the VITA!

      • disgaea36

1.Ur comment is so irrelevant it’s not even funny. It sucks to be you that ur so blinded by stupidity. 2. This is clearly an enhanced port cause it’s the same exact game they just added a few things here and there which could have just been on the original if this was on ps3 it would have just been DLC. 3. no where did I say the game sucks or looks bad. So check urself next time before you try to insult some one.

        • CountMarth92

Me? blinded by stupidity? LMAO, you’re the one who is blinded by stupidity and acting like a stupid crybaby, you just established yourself as that. You better sharply watch who you are talking to or you otherwise might get mud splashed in your face.

          Good day to you.

    • JohnThackr

You must have really hated P3:FES then.

I don’t really understand the complaint of “All this new added stuff should have been in the original.” You apparently loved the original without this.

What you’re really saying is “Things shouldn’t be added when there’s a port.” I have to say I disagree.

      • disgaea36

No I actually liked fes since it included answer which is what I mostly played while they added all that new stuff to the journey for people who never got to play the game since I remember there were only a limited number of copies of the original persona 3 due to the limited edition package. And yes I like the originals I’m not bashing the game I just think it’s dumb when they do this because it would have been nice to do all this the first time not port it to a whole new system.

  • Was that a new teddie scene I saw?(him all sweaty and running)

    • Yep. It’s part of the animated scene where they’re going to the beach.

      • Another LOL Teddie scene XD Bring those scene in!!

(Still isn’t it hot in a suit at a beach?? :P)

  • OatMatadoQuatro

It’s really weird seeing this game having the M rating while other manga and anime with similar content being aimed towards teenagers.

    • It’s Mara’s fault

  • AndyFe

Hey the more Rise the better I say

  • MrJechgo

Well crap, gonna have to skip that one… I don’t have a Vita. I do have a 3DS. Kinda weird that they didn’t make it multiplatform, especially considering the popularity of the series. It’s not like the game seems taxing for the 3DS hardware; the graphics are just PS2-upgraded.

I just thought Atlus would have broadened the core audience by releasing it on a second handheld alongside the Vita.

    • LightZero

P4G was pretty much used to test the market kind of like how Overclocked was used for the 3DS. I’m sure Atlus was expecting the Vita to be as successful as the PSP (well at least in Japan) instead of it doing poorly. The game still did well on the Vita though in Japan. Who knows how well it will do in the west. I do think Atlus will be more weary of the Vita for the time being unless it’s use for multi-plats.

      • Barrylocke89

Comparing it to Overclocked was a pretty sensible analogy, actually.

      • Tianyu Wei

On the contrary, the even with a much smaller user base, INDEX reported that this was one of their big earners. It shows the VITA gamers are much more willing to buy games than 3DS gamers.

It’s like 1 out of 10 people buy your games in VITA, compare to 1 out of 100 people buy your games on 3DS.

Sure, the user base is smaller, it doesn’t mean it’s worse. 200,000 sells out of a user base of 2 million, is a much more impressive figure than 200,000 sells out of a user base of 5 million+.

This is also true for the Playstation 3. The game per player/console ratio is MUCH MUCH higher than the Wii, which had more than double the console in the market than the PS3. The user base for VITA (Core gamers) are just more willing to spend for these kind of games than the general Nintendo users.

        • LightZero

P4 is the most popular Atlus game. Unfortunately, that is the meal ticket. The vast majority couldn’t careless for the rest of the megaten series. It’s not really a fair comparison even then Soul Hackers and Overclocked did well on the 3DS. SMT4 will likely do well too.

3DS games on average for Japan been topping the charts. The Vita been making low numbers and none of the games besides P4 really did that well compared to 3DS and PSP games. So I have to disagree.

          • Elvick

Digital sales aren’t included in those numbers.

We’ll never really know for certain. Especially when more and more full 3DS games release on the eShop, making it harder to really know.

    • sherimae1324

      system begging huh?…..

  • IshimaruKaito

i am looking forward to this in fact more than anything i was ever looking for this year i cant believe how fast time flies!!

  • To haters:

At this point, I will just say: Haters gonna hate/Don’t like it just shut up and don’t ruin ppl fun.

    All the best to you guys who r playing it. I will cheer on the side since I don’t have a Vita lol. ^.^;

Btw aside frm AOA does Rise have any new thing to help the team?

    • Kibbitz

I’ll be joining you in the cheering department, so at least you won’t be alone =P

    • she can revive the Protag from death and take part in an all out attack(there might be more but my memorys kinda fuzzy, basically shes been God modded)
