They’re seriously still doing this? Do Japanese gamers just eat this wallet-theft up or something?

    • saxophone15

There are many Japanese gamers who like to apply costumes to their characters…so why would it suddenly stop?

      • $3587643

A beautiful dodge of my actual point, sir. Worthy of an olympic medal, really.

        • saxophone15

Ok then I have a question for you. Why do you care? You don’t have to spend any money on it and how other people spend their money shouldn’t be of your concern.

          • $3587643

Yes, why should I care about the commercial policies of a game company? Me, a person who plays games? Me, a person who cares about not being shafted by unfair, immoral business practices? What relevance does this news have to me at all?

Now that you ask, nothing really comes to mind.

          • saxophone15

Unfair, immoral business practices!? There’s nothing unfair or immoral about some optional costumes. There are definitely some questionable DLC in the video game market but costumes are not the problem.

          • Because they’re forcing you to buy optional costumes that have no bearing on the game except some fanservice.

          • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I know that you love to scream that DLC is being unfair practices without actually saying what is wrong with the practice there.

They never force you to get this DLC, this DLC also had not ground for being relevant to game story.

This is only add on that you may choose to get or forget about them. What is so immoral about this then?

          • This might be a good time to bring up that, based on the past behavior, that user is more interested in snark, jab and whining than proper, thoughtful conversations.

    • Arrei

      Yes. They do. Ravenously.

As long as the game itself doesn’t suffer because of DLC, I’m cool with it, how others spend their money isn’t my business. But Xillia 2 needs to prove that it has enough staple series content on top of the DLC.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Considering this is Namco who come out with Idolmasters……. Yes.^_^

  • Leon_Tekashi

More costumes huh? Well they are optional and more choices are good in my book. =)

Gaius in Swimsuit?! i cant take this much fanservice, namco pls stop… my wallet is burning!!!

  • Nitraion

    Elise – Gymnastics
    Musee – Speed swimming
okay…. i can see where is it coming….

  • Crevox

Xillia 2 got 35/40 in Famitsu (9/9/8/9)… questionable score :|

Xillia 1 was 39, Vesperia PS3 was 35, Graces was slightly better… I dunno. I can’t really trust Famitsu scores anymore.

    • LightZero

Unless you think Nintendog is the best game of all time, you should never take Famitsu seriously.

  • MrJechgo

Still doesn’t tell us when Xillia 1 is scheduled for an English release, like an accurate date, nor if they could guarantee Xillia 2’s english release as well.

I’m sorry, but costumes don’t really appeal to me that much. This one time they did was in Vesperia PS3, because they came with exclusive artes based on the costume. However, Namco NEVER did that mecanic again… for some reason. Nothing for Graces nor Xillia 1… and Xillia 2.

    • LightZero

This is Namdai of Japan. They aren’t concern about us westerners. The Japanese are their main priority and target audience. Xillia 1 is already own news for the Japanese. It’s Namdai of America/Europe jump to announce an English release date. They already went on record to say that Xillia 1 success (or failure) will determine if Xillia 2 would be localize.

    • raymk

Thats because TOV only did that stuff with the ps3 version of that game. They have had cameo skills in the past with tales of the abyss though.  This info is for japan and has nothing to do with an U.S release date, thats not the jpn branch job.

  • Musee is just too sexy. Can’t wait until next week. IMPORTING.

  • Scans available. :( Also Crossover Tales costumes too :D

    • Nitraion

Dammit NAMDAI i hate your DLC scam but at same time i like all of your DLC damn what a dilema -_-
Gamer in this time and age gotta have alot of money if want to survive X_X

      • raymk

I just think in the future I may have to be a namco only fan, its like buying 3 games with all their DLC.  That said if this is what keeps tales games coming and being made I don’t mind.  These games don’t make all that much so DLC kinda makes them some money lost back.

  • LightZero

I hate that Namdai is milking DLC but damn Musee is too fine in her swimsuit.

    • $3587643

       Four bucks of fine?

    • raymk

She fine in all her costumes so far even the shina costume.  They know what they are doing, but that said this game does have costumes in the game this time though we don’t know how many.

  • IshimaruKaito

they really do it BIG! with the clothes

  • Tales of Hearts R Confirmed. Also the *SPOILERS*

    Original Milla makes a return.

So hyped for Tales of Hearts!

    • Nothing wrong with sharing the news, but since it’s not directly related to Xillia 2, I would say it belongs to the appropriate newspage or in Open Thread.

    • zferolie

       …. Original… Milla?

No, don’t explain, I just will wait to see the game.

  • The Gaius judo and Muzet swimsuit are already available on the EU store, at least for my UK account.
