See How The Wii U GamePad Is Used In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

At last night’s Nintendo Direct presentation in Japan, Monster Hunter series producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, demonstrated how the Wii U GamePad can be used to re-arrange the UI in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, just like the bottom screen on the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. Take a look at the demonstration below, complete with more footage, courtesy of YouTube user Nintendaan:

In North America and Europe, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released in March 2013 for the 3DS and Wii U. A downloadable app that you’ll be able to grab off the Nintendo eShop will allow for save data transferring between the two versions.

That is not where I want my map in MH. I’m confused; are all the battle HUD elements on the pad? In all honesty I would hate to have to juggle between 2 screens while fighting. I’m only going to assume there is an option to switch it since you can use the pro controller as well.

Getting the 3DS version. There is nothing the Wii U has to offer for me at the moment.
