You’ll See More Rachel And Ayane In Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus

By Spencer . November 27, 2012 . 10:49pm

Famitsu has details about what’s new in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. The PlayStation Vita version has Ninja Race mode where Ryu grabs items that give him a speed burst. Tag Mission is another new mode that lets players switch between Ryu, Ayane, Rachel, and Momiji.

Team Ninja added the three kunoichi for Sigma 2 and created new missions for them. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus will retain all of the content from the PlayStation 3 game. Tecmo Koei plan to release the title on February 28, 2013 in Japan.

  • Can’t wait for this.

    Any news on the gore?

  • MrSirFeatherFang

Tag Mission – mid combo tag? That would be beyond gnarly.
Sony needs to get a video output accessory released for the Vita soon! I dunno how people record their Vitas with their webcams, but I would think it would be harder compared to an action game like this.

      PSVita slim .. :P

There’s supposed to be some sort of update where you can stream to NicoNico directly from the Vita. It’s said coming soon ever since NicoNico became available. It’ll be nice if that feature ever becomes possible. Or maybe Sony could add a recording app that shows everything you’re doing on your Vita when you hit record, and then all you have to do is edit out the parts switching to the game and switching back to stop recording.

  • Ooooh, goodie! And is Ninja Race mode exact what it says? Like a race through platforming and wallrunning and stuff?

Picking this one up, haven’t played NG2 at all. Assuming they bring it over.

  • Ryu’s got the harem thing down

    I kinda want a wii-u port now…

    • DarthSithZero

You already have the Best version of NG3

      • Andrew Austin

        Not for long!

  • Tales_of_Master

It’s been so long since I played a decent Hack n’ Slash game, so I’m really looking for this. Add to that the fact that I’ve never played any of the NG games, and I’m planning on picking Sigma Plus in the next few days, so Sigma Plus 2 is pretty much a must have. Also, my new Vita needs some love, and so far I think that I made the right choice picking it up :D

Did you intentionally put “ass” there instead of “add”? Uhh sorry, just a little too nitpicky for my own good.

      • Tales_of_Master

Of course not XD The “S” and the “D” are next to each other on the keyboard, and I didn’t proofread my post, that’s why the typo stayed there for an hour or so. I wonder when you noticed it though, since I edited within an hour, but whatever. Maybe I was thinking of the “expanded” roles of Rachel and Ayane and subconsciously typed that XD

So this is finally the last average NG port (and average NG game for that matter) that we are going to get? So after this FINALLY the Tecmo branch in TK will realize they are making bad NG games and tell the Koei branch to mind their own business so they can once again make good games? Maybe Hayashi will resign!!??

    One can only hope…

  • Yay, lookinf forward to it. NG2 is a much better game than NG1, this will be fun.

There’s only info about the game in Famitsu or also scans with images?

  • DarthSithZero

So is this really going to happen :)

  • darkfox1

Whao what I didn’t even know they announced this! I know Sigma Plus is on the Vita but I had no idea 2 Plus is gonna be too.

  • Hinataharem

I might try this out. I only played Dragon Sword, but I liked it. Still have my sword-shaped stylus :)
