The official site updated with this information and a ton of other stuff. Amongst it was this commercial.

The song in it is just so unfitting to Fist of the North Star in every way. Yet it’s stuck in my head right now. Funny how that works.

So has anyone else played the demo yet? I did and to be honest I have mixed feelings about the combat. On one hand Kenshiro seems to have a new combo and I do like the new dodge/counter-attack system, but on the other hand the fighting is TOO fast. Then again, I’m in the minority here when I say I preferred the somewhat slow-ish pace of the first game because each attack felt like it had some weight behind it and that’s what made it so much more unique than other musou games. From what I can tell, the combat feels too, for the lack of a better term, “arcade-ish”.

Oh, and they’ve removed jumping. :l Just feels like Koei took one step forward and two steps back as far as combat goes.

Haven’t played the demo, but I for one support faster action. Mostly because slogging through those samey-looking stages with these slow, ponderous characters got REALLY boring REALLY fast.

Removing jumping though… that I’m less inclined to cheer for. What have they replaced it with, if they replaced it with anything?

      • StarWarudo

Jumping has been replaced by dashing.

Gotcha. For speeding up the game I presume…

Also wow, someone has downvoted EVERY COMMENT in this thread for some reason. That’s… odd.

I love to jump. ): Makes running around less tedious, since you have something to do. (unless there’s dashing, or the jump landing makes you stop completely)

      • StarWarudo

They’ve replaced jumping with dashing, much like how it is in Pirate Warriors.

Is the xbox version not launching until nest week? DMC is the most recent one on my JP account.

  • El Go here to watch some gameplay. If the stream is down go to videos and you should see a recorded cast.
