Crimson Shroud, the Nintendo eShop game that tries to emulate a tabletop RPG, has a release date. Developed by Tactics Ogre creator, Yasumi Matsuno, and Level 5, the game also has its first set of English screenshots, which you can view below.

In Crimson Shroud, you play as a “Chaser” named Giauque. As previously reported, Chasers are individuals who hunt down goods and other individuals as a profession. The game has you rolling dice in real time and chaining skills together to earn bonus dice of greater value. You can read more about the game’s world here.

Crimson Shroud will be released on December 13th in North America for $7.99.

Very interested in this. Granted, not as much as I was for Liberation Maiden, but this is definitely on my list of ‘products to watch’.

Are the miniatures are really just miniatures? they don’t have animations beyond moving around the board? is there a figure painting mode?

  • Suicunesol

    I like the narrative.
I wonder how long the game is. If it’s an RPG, it should be longer than Liberation Maiden…

We all hope that XD. But looks really cool :)

That title looks pretty sweet, I was planning on buying a $20 eshop card for liberation maiden but I didnt know what to do with the remaining credit, this just sealed it for me.

Finally! I’m assuming the European release date will be around the same time?

Was actually looking forward to this game the most out of Guild 01. I don’t get the chance to play as many tabletop RPGs as I would like, so this perfectly fills that void hopefully.

  • Göran Isacson

Neat, but I wonder if I should go for this game… I have TERRIBLE luck with dice in pen and paper rpgs. I shit you not, my party once rolled critical fumbles three times in a row, for EVERY CHARACTER. That day the party became infamous as the Hopping Tomb Raiders, because we all chopped off our goshdarn feet. If that luck carries over to the digital arena… I dare not think what will happen.

  • Tails the Foxhound

Does that make all five parts of Guild 01 or are we still waiting on confirmation of one more? Either way FOOK YEAR, this was the part of Guild 01 that I wanted to play the most.

    • Herok♞

There is one more piece of Guild 01 it was the weapon shop game but they didn’t localize it because it relies to much on knowledge of Japanese culture.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

One of my most anticipated Guild-01 game other than the weapon rental ones.(Which sadly seems to never comes here.T_T)
Hope this will be fun to play.^_^

Maybe…just maybe this might be worth a look.
