Fire Emblem: Awakening Awakens In U.S. This February [Update]

Fire Emblem: Awakening is headed to North America soon—sooner than you might have thought.

 

Nintendo of America announced via a Nintendo Direct this morning that the game is slated for release on February 4th, 2013. Meanwhile, Europe will get the game in April.

 

As previously reported, Fire Emblem: Awakening has downloadable episodes in Japan, and these episodes will be released in the west as well.

    This may very well push me to get my very own 3DS, especially since the XL is going for 179 in bestbuy i think.The Vita has renew my love for portable gaming, now i want them all!

  • Wow this was earlier than I thought. I was expecting a late March/early April release but this is quite the good news! Can’t wait to play this supposed Fire Emblem game to end all Fire Emblems.

    I’m sad that us in Europe have to wait until April but at the same time at least we have a release date :D

      Yeah at least Feb vs April doesn’t seem too bad, sometimes PAL release dates are significantly later than everywhere else.

        Well, Nintendo have been pretty nice with the PAL release dates, a few times we get games 2 days before America or games might come out a week later or something. Plus games like Xenoblade and Last Story being released months before America.

        I guess it’s ok seeing as there is a bunch of games coming out in March. I don’t mind. :P

          Yeah I just feel bad for players in other regions sometimes.

            I guess as long as we get to play the games it’s fine, at least it’s not as bad as it used to be, Europeans used to have to wait months or maybe over a year for a game to see the light of day. I can deal with having no Fire Emblem until April, at least that way I get to play Persona 4 when it releases here in February :)

      This is probably a good one to start 1, as it has the Super Easy Modes and the ability to turn off permadeath if you don’t want it. I love it so far (JP version)… and my gosh, 49 hours and STILL not done with all the story and all the gaiden chapters…

    Nintendo needs to spread out their 3DS releases better. I swear there’s always nothing for me, then like 2 or 3 from just Nintendo in the same time frame.
