Tales Of Hearts R Demo Coming To PSN On Christmas Day

By Spencer . December 16, 2012 . 11:48pm

Tales fans can unwrap a Tales of Hearts R demo on Christmas Day. That’s Namco Bandai’s holiday present for Japan and Vita owners that have more than one memory card.

The Tales of Hearts R demo lets players explore the Suntex Cathedral and there’s an enemy on the top floor for Shing to defeat. The demo will have all of party members unlocked so you can try out Chase Links and the aerial battle system.

Demo save data unlocks swimsuits for Shing, Jadeite, Beryl, and Garad in the retail version, which comes out on March 7, 2013.

Have Tales of Innocence R save data too? Then you’ll unlock two more attachments for Tales of Hearts R.

Sigh…and thanks to the Vita only allowing one PSN account to sync to it the odds of me even giving the demo a try is basically nill.
Wish we could get this released stateside the vita needs more games.

    • Kefkiroth

Pretty much the first thing I thought… I still don’t see why they disallow Vita users to have more than one account when PS3s have always been able to support multiple. It’s always nice to try a Japanese demo and basically other free stuff that may be hidden in the Japanese PSN.

    DAT “Love Imouto” T-shirt!

  • fyi1191

    Kunzite’s swimsuit. Hmmmmm…

  • Nitraion

Wow that’s nice prize just in demo…
i wish Vita is like PS3 can save multiple account

    • Aoshi00

I know.. I want the demo swimsuits :(.. just like Muramasa’s extra DLC scenarios, won’t be able to access them even if we import the game.

The Tales of Heart R pre-order comes w/ another DLC code too :(..

      • Tien Ron

can’t we download it on the ps3 to then just put it on the vita?

        • you still need to be signed into your Japanese account to even access it on the vita.

        • Aoshi00

Yes, it could be d/l’ed on the PS3, which is how I usually do it. But you still cant transfer to the Vita unless you set up a Jpn acct. I don’t want to play Tales of Hearts R, Muramasa, etc on my Jpn account just to access the DLCs, and have trophies on my US acct. Also I really don’t want to keep doing fty reset.

      • Nitraion

I know :( in this generation of gaming we seems really strugle for DLC problem *sigh* just look at last DOA 5 gavaway its madness because we really want that costume… I want some day this DLC trend is going to end…DLC is greatness troll in gaming industry (unless its free and not region locking of course…. *_*)

  • s07195

Dat siscon T-shirt worn by Hisui/Jadeite….

  • Pockystix

y’know it’s reasons like this as to why I really hate region locking. Yeah, the Vita isn’t fully region locked, but you can only have a single account, for one region. so you’re gonna be stuck if you really want to make full use of your import games that have good dlc.

Well, at least it isn’t as bad as what Nintendo have been doing.

    • Wait…what? Really? S***
What next, the Vita can’t play downloaded PS1 and PS2 classics on it?

  • almostautumn

Suweeet! No worries here; I’m switching over to the JPN account for the Soul Sacrifice demo anyway. Probably going to stick with that account too until Monster Monpiece comes out.

  • Go2hell66

i really need to get a new memory card…

  • I might have to grab an extra stick. There is a mech psn game I want to try out from the japan psn too. 4gb stick should not be too big.

  • why don’t ppl just buy a cheap 4GB vita card for JPN demo….? Given, you still gotta reset your VITA, $20 isn’t that much imo if you really want to Japanese DLC/DEMO stuff…

    • Aoshi00

I don’t want to go thru the reset back and fourth, and play the game and earn the trophies on my Jpn acct… Like if I were to play muramasa on my regular us acct, it won’t be able to access the dlc scenarios which is tied to your Jpn acct

  • *crosses fingers* Really hoping Namco localizes this.

  • Nyandroid

What a seriously awesome present!! Too bad it wasn’t for us here in the west too. xD
