Sega released 3D Space Harrier, a 3D remake of the classic game, on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan this week. Now you can take a look at the game in action, courtesy of YouTube user, Nintendaan. Take a look at the game below:

In Japan, 3D Space Harrier costs 600 yen ($8). It comes with a sound equalizer and an option to move the arcade cabinet using the 3DS’ gyro-sensor. Sega haven’t announced a western release for the game yet.

  • This is one of those kinda games I kinda need on my 3DS. Arcade classics remade for the 3DS is actually a pretty great idea.

  • Looks like a solid port. I hope this isn’t the only 3D remaster SEGA has planned.

  • A sequel would have been nice but, hey, it’s Sega, master of recycle.

  • I wonder how is that guy flying?

That’s a bit rich for my blood. I’d pay double for Planet Harriers though.

  • Hideki kamiya seems really excited about this game.

Looks fantastic! M2 is the best retro porter! They did Gauntlet IV on the Genesis and the Neo Geo Station and those good versions of Genesis games on PSN (ToeJam and Earl and Revenge of Shinobi, among others). They also did the Sega Ages PS2 Space harrier collection.
