CyberConnect2 Working On Three Original Titles

By Spencer . January 6, 2013 . 11:17pm

imageCyberConnect2 is known for making Naruto games and the .hack series, but the Fukuoka based studio also creates original games like Solatorobo and Asura’s Wrath.

Hiroshi Matsuyama, president of CyberConnect2, talked about his company’s plans for 2013. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle are in the pipeline. Matsuyama also revealed three original titles are in development too.

Last year, we saw Night Runner, a smartphone game where you have to run from soldiers during the day and stalk them during the night. Guilty Dragon which is supposed to come to the West is another one of CyberConnect2′s original works, but since this came out in 2012 it probably doesn’t count towards the three original titles in the works.

Why not? The only .hack game that didn’t make it to the West was on the PSP.

Totally Agree, and even better if they remake .hack series for PS3 and Xbox

  • FlameEmperor

Can’t wait to see what they’re working on >.<
I hope it'll be awesome like their other titles x3!!

  • Tales_of_Master

Oh I would kill for a new .hack series, Or at least give us a .hack//G.U. HD collection, I no longer have the original ones :c….both could work actually.

  • Lionxie

    Solatorobo 2~! Cmon!!!

  • http://epiclyamazing.wordpress.com/ AzureNova

Perhaps one of the games is the start of a brand new RPG series in place of .Hack? Idk, just throwing things out there. Either way I love their work =^_^=

CC2 are extremely dedicated to their games and faithful to source material if it’s an adaptation. Here’S hoping something’s for consoles and Vita is in the pipes as smartphone/GREE games do not catch my fancy.

    iOS, Vita and 3DS.

  • Neophoton

Well, if they say it’s an original title, then it isn’t gonna be a Solatorobo 2, but probably another title in the LTB series and also treated as its own thing at the same time.

…That or just legitimately new games altogether, which I’m cool with that as long as they’re within access of playing. I’m not really fond of mobile games, so I’d be disappointed if they wound up continuing to develop games for it rather than other platforms.

  • Zonic505

I would freakin’ enjoy an Asura’s Wrath sequel, especially with the cliffhanger ending the DLC had.

  • Cephrien

    SILENT BOMBER REMAKE!

  • Crimson_Cloud

CyberConnect2, for me, are masters of 3D anime. Every game I played from them had extraordinary smooth animation and great camera angles during cutscenes, and I would love to see more games from them, especially RPGs. ^^

    • Christopher Nunes

I agree! If I make a global manga series and it becomes popular ever to warrant a 3D anime game of it I want CyberConnect2 to make it! ^_^

      • Crimson_Cloud

        Agreed! ^^

  • StarWarudo

I hope they give us a release date for Jojo soon. I’m dying with anticipation.

Naruto Ultimate NInja Impact 2 for Vita!!!

  • Rolling Guy

I wish they’d localize Dot Hack Link.

  • http://animereviews.co/ Nadav

New .hack game for the PS3 all the way!

Seriously, it’s their number one money maker after Naruto. Why not make a new game, or even remake the first 4 games, on the PS3?
