In Monster Hunter 4, Your Felynes Can Attack With A Tank

By Sato . January 11, 2013 . 1:30pm

We recently found learned that players will be able to customize one of their Felyne companions in Monster Hunter 4. Here’s a closer look at how that works.

As previously reported, players will be able to take up to two Felyne companions on the hunt, with one being the main and the other a sub-Felyne. Depicted in the images below are a couple of the customization options for your Felyne’s eyes, ears and fur pattern.

Meanwhile, your sub-Felyne can be chosen out of the many you’ve collected. The Union Attacks performed with the two Felynes will be determined by the sub-Felyne’s abilities, which means you’ll have a selection of union attacks to choose from, depending on which sub-Felyne you opt to use. Below, you can find two examples of these—an attack with a rocket and another with a tank.

Monster Hunter 4 is slated to be released this summer on Nintendo 3DS.

Awwww… they got a missile-shooting tank while I have to climb monsters to pin them with my sword? No fair.

    About time they became useful

You didn’t find them useful in stopping your hunter from covering his ears while the monster was shouting? Heck, they gave me a dozen more attack chances with that.

And knocking me in the head when my hunter became dizzy? Those cats saved my life more the once!

        • s07195

IRL though, that wouldn’t be very useful. You’d be more likely to fall down. XD

        • Haseyo

The amount of times my felynes in 3rd cut off tails for me is too damn high. Love my cats.

And put traps, barrel bombs, dung bombs, paralyzing, etc. etc. Felyne are far from useless.

        • Ferofax

Clearly, somebody didn’t know how to put them to good use.

Can i use monster parts to craft different looking tanks? And with that, different elemental damage?
And can i have a tank in a shark model plz?

    • AntonioPeYangIII

I would kill to have a mini-tank dressed up as a WWII Panzer, with matching grey uniforms for the kitties :D
