Capcom have put out a new batch of some very pretty screenshots from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on both 3DS and Wii U, to go with yesterday’s release date announcement. Both sets of screenshots give a look at some neat armour sets from the game. Find them below.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be released on March 19th in North America and March 22nd in Europe, both at retail and as a download on 3DS and Wii U. A demo will be available for both platforms on February 21st.

It’d be nice if buying the Wii U version gave you a download code for the 3DS one as well, or vice versa.

    • Captain_Jiruo

It would be nice but having them separate lets us give twice the support and money to the series we love. I for one am (mostly) happy to do that.

      • Ferrick

i think the PSBA style was much better though, cuz buying the game for ps3, you get the game for free on Vita, so you buy one and got two versions for it

        • The problem is, that arrangement works for Sony because it helps them sell Vitas. It doesn’t work for third-party publishers because it basically requires them giving their games away for free.

          • Ferrick

ah that’s true, i guess its kinda like virtue’s where they sold it for both portables

            Why are you discussing rumors?
It makes no sense business wise. Its just fanwanking.

          • Ferrick

            not sure if serious…

        • zeta

they wont be doing it if that system was selling XD

    • Minos

This is Capcom, give thanks they are not billing for the on-line…or for this screenshots.

i can’t wait for the hunting to start

I can’t wait for hunting day.

Boy do those Wii U menu/texts look so nice and crisp.
Also do I spy lobby chat before you enter a room? I’ve seen quite a few people hoping it would have something like that.

I’m thinking of letting this be my first Monster Hunting experience…I wonder how much time I’ll spend on it.

    • JusticeRider

Just take your time and keep at it. This is one of the most rewarding video game experiences out there but you must but in some effort before you see results. Good luck! :)

    The mountain looks so cool.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Well well well, time to get two of edition here.^_^

  • Nightmesh

I’ve heard a lot about this series. Would this one be a good place to start or should I start on the 1st one for the story?

    • Draparde

Monster hunter has little story so playing them in order would not get you much. ( the most story it has is lore behind a city or something)

i would say this would be the best one to start on.

      • Nightmesh

Oh that’s great. The closest I’ve played to one of these games is a mmo that was suppose to be a rip off of it. My cousin is getting a WiiU in march so this works out perfect for me.

        • Draparde

Ah, yeah. i’m a pretty big fan of the series myself, so i’ll be getting both 3DS and wii U versions~ (mostly to play online with the Wii U)

          • im planing to get both versions too, im actually gona splurge on a brand new tv, buy the wii u deluxe(for the memory) and get the actual game of mh, dear god, the things i do for monster hunter xD

  • Draparde

i will be getting this for both 3DS and wii U for optimal at home, and on the go hunting!

    i’ll never stop!

  • riceisnice

I just can’t get over the fact that 3DS doesn’t have online. I know if I buy the 3DS version, I’ll just get my face handed to me on a silver platter. But don’t have the funding for a Wii U. Oh, what to do.

Times like this I wish the 3DS had an Ad Hoc thing.

    • Escher3030

The 3DS has local wireless multiplayer.

      • He means something like Adhoc Party on the PSP, where you could use the PS3 as a go-between to connect with other PSP users online.

        • Escher3030

Oh, so THAT’S what Ad-Hoc is? I thought it was just a different name for local wireless :3

          • Ad-hoc refers to local wireless! Ad-hoc Party is an actual PS3 app. :)
