Time Extension… in Ninja Gaiden? One of the additions Team Ninja made for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus is Ninja Race mode. Players have to ninja sprint through a course before time runs out. You can increase the time on the clock by picking up green essence. Purple essence boosts your speed and white essence ups the chain gauge. The chain gauge has three nodes and when each of node is full you get an attack boost. That makes cutting through demons and other enemies easier.
Tag Missions are also new in Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus. These extra missions let you play as Ayane, Momiji, Rachel or Ryu in a mode where you can switch characters on the fly. Tag missions pit players against bosses or if you’re having a hard time with a stage you can select practice mode which automatically revives your character. If players can unlock it, Tag Missions can be played in turbo mode where characters move at a breakneck speed.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus has a bunch of costumes like the DLC content from the PS3 version plus brand new costumes from the Dead or Alive games and purple costumes for the ladies bundled as a launch bonus. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus comes out in North America next Tuesday.
