Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge For Xbox 360 Supports SmartGlass

By Spencer . February 28, 2013 . 11:56pm

Tecmo Koei added one feature to the Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge that makes it unique. The game supports SmartGlass so you can see your stats on a smartphone or tablet. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge synchronizes to YouTube so you can browse videos that show players how to clear an area. It’s kind of like having an interactive walkthrough at your fingertips.

Like the Wii U version, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge has new weapons like the Kusarigama, the Art of the Piercing Void ninpo, and three extra playable characters. Ayane, Momiji, and Kasumi from the Dead or Alive series are in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. The game comes out on April 2 in North America and April 5 in Europe.

Uhm, that’s quite interesting. I imagine that Smartglass should allow for porting at least some of the features of Wii U games to the 360, but it would also depend on how many devs are willing to do it. I don’t think it would be too many.

  • Wow, I can’t be the only one that is completely turned off by all this social bullshit being thrown at us. Now you can download apps to look at stats on a smart phone. Why not just show that to me during the game?

It’s like in halo 4, in order to see your detailed stats you have to launch Waypoint on the Xbox, which will ONLY run if you have a kinect turned on. I repeat, will ONLY run if you have a kinect turned on. What feature the kinect adds to viewing stats, I do not know. The stats that you used to be able to get in game, you know have to launch a separate app and have expensive hardware to use.

      Its optional calm down lol.

As long as it doesn’t force something like what you describe with Halo 4 and Waypoint, I don’t see the problem.

I’m sure there’s an in game way to check. Otherwise, how would PS3 users be able to check them?

When did they implement the Kinect requirement? I played Halo 4 around launch and used Waypoint without Kinect.
