In the year 20XX, mysterious gates appear in different regions in the world. Invaders emerge from the gate and Zillions of Enemy X ravage the Earth. The five gates are in Washington (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Pretoria (South Africa), and Paris (France).

Zillions of Enemy X from Nippon Ichi Software takes place decades after the Days of the Apocalypse. There are five different heroes in the game:

Quinn Forsythe, a marine from America

z09

Cecil Royale, a journalist from France

z08

Steve Shibaya, a researcher from South Africa

z10

Kaede Kaga, a black market trader from Japan

z11 z13

Natalia Cambiasso, a NPO member from Argentina

Players will fight the ZX using a "device" which is highly regulated item. Devices are worth even more if they’re blank. These devices are used in the game’s card battle system which lets players summon ZX by spending SP. The ZX you summon act as attackers and defenders. If enemy ZX close in and attack hit one of the protagonists you lose LP.

Need more ZXes? You can capture enemies and turn them into cards by doing a Code Hack.

Each ZX has its own set of abilities. If you want to defeat more powerful enemies you will need to customize your deck.

Seems pretty cool. I like that they have some characters that aren’t the typical plucky teens. It’s hard to find those in story based card games.

I would probably buy this is it came to the US.

  • MrTyrant

    Natalia Cambiasso!!!

there seem to be two different cards of Asagi you can get

  • gamerdude

I sense Team Kusanagi in that background art.

    Also gorgeous illustrations: check.

Now all we need is a battle system with emphasis on strategy and a localization!

Given that it’s N1 I have utmost faith that the former is already rock solid.

  • Oltheros

    Mmm….delicious brown Natalia

Quinn should go home and be a family man..or a card collector.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

So… will this one have stand up my Avatar?^_^

So its SMT with cards? YES. Those are some nice art.

The holding the card pose reminds me of Digimon Tamers though.

    • Calintz YT

Because playing video games makes you an adult. LOL

  • Lilith

Correct me if I’m wrong but the last article said one of the gate was in Buenos Aires, not Paris. And one of the characters is from Buenos Aires. Doesn’t make aense.

  • isfuturebright

I like the art style though I don’t know why they keep making half dressed women :P I mean Natalia Cambiasso hahaha I guess it’s the what their public want to see

  • Rufus2k2

Oh Japan, you and your obsession with afros! That said he still looks pretty cool and I’m digging the game’s artstyle, would not mind a localization at all.

  • DesmaX

    It looks pretty cool, actually.
I would definitely buy this if it was localized

  • Nitraion

O-o so not an ordinary card battle.. SMT style, not usual punk-ass children playing cards….and bunch of serious grown ups and hawt women playing the cards… ._. okay you pique my interest

  • Sergio Briceño

    Lol at Natalia’s last name.

    • MrTyrant

M…m…maybe its a decendant of Esteban Cambiasso (soccer’s prayer)

      • Sergio Briceño

Well, Cambiasso is a pretty common last name in Argentina, even more so than in the country where it originates from. So she could be anybody’s descendant. :p

But it’s still a very funny last name.

“Just like Duel Monsters” No, no. I kid, I kid. Seriously though the game looks and sounds very nice and the artwork for the cards is amazing.
    Also, Natalia Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng! >_<

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

Id watch the anime. Looks good. Can I have Kaede Kaga,.

  • Solomon_Kano

I would buy the hell outta this. Pssst. NISA.

  • Syn

Is too much too want actual 3D monsters on the field rather than pictures with a dungoen style combat added in, it feels kinda lazy in my opinion, I hope you can see actual monsters attack each other, this is for the PS3 after all, I mean even the 3ds version of Yugi-oh at the very least had 3d representations, I just really want to see all those epic monster designs move and destroy my oponnents with epic moves that I spent 15mins building up to

Amaizingly this looks awesome! and that Natalia is jsut… ughufheufbe >//////<

    • brian

      Natalia is adorable.
      Hnnnnnnggggg.

  • http://queensblade.net/index.php/characters/cattleya gulabjamuns

Am I the only one who likes Cecil over Natalia? lol.. Natalia just seems like another Japanese moe girl to me, except with darker skin, although her outfit is pretty cool

  • MediaMindControl

    Yatagarusu? sold.
