By Spencer . March 12, 2013 . 11:04pm

souls4_a2If you can’t wait to play Soul Sacrifice importing the Japanese version got a little bit easier. Famitsu reports Sony Computer Entertainment will sell an English voiceover pack on April 4 for 200 yen ($2).

The first content update which adds new monsters Dullahan (pictured) and Behemoth plus the map where you walk inside a giant will also be released on April 4.

I want to believe this marks the beginning of a new era.

  • Rudy Soto

So the Japanese and importers get the English voiceover nearly a month before we do.
    …What.

  • Solomon_Kano

Oh, that’s pretty cool. The Japanese dub is a pre-order bonus here and the Japanese get to download English voices. $2 is nice and cheap too.

  • Zenthos

A fine deal! Man, I wish all Japanese games had a dlc for an english voice/dialogue pack.

    • Abyan Haidar

and vice versa… we need some japanese voice for the game that released both in east and west… (e.g. tales series and maybe later god eater)

      • http://www.sevex.org Steven

Definitely! I would surely pay for Persona 4: Golden’s Japanese voices, even though the English ones are pretty good.

  • Nightmesh

O_O That’s really neat. I wonder if they’ll add english text or is it already there?

  • Namuro

Well, that’s pretty nice. People who can’t understand Japanese in Asia will surely rejoice (and those who imports as well).

On a side note, the Dullahan’s head seems to be smiling…how creepy.

Now that’s a nice thing to do. I’m still waiting for the English release though.

This is a dlc worth paying for.

  • Lexaus_the_Alchemist

The complete opposite of what we’re getting. Though I do have to ask: do Japanese players request having ENG voices in their games on the same level that Westerners request JPN voices in there’s? I always wondered that…

    • Hinataharem

If I recall correctly, they salivated over the English voices in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, but other than that I dunno

  • Oltheros

Voice pack dlc = awesome idea. More publishers should do this.

    • Elvick

Considering the amount of games that DON’T get multiple language tracks… I wouldn’t mind. I’m sure those who already do it, would continue to just include it for no extra cost.

And I don’t mind how it’s being handled for SS in the west as a pre-order bonus. At least in NA, not sure if they’re doing that in NA too…

But yeah. Getting it as DLC is better than not getting it at all.

  • ekibyougami

I knew it. I always wondered why they have the:

ボイス言語 (Voice Language) = 日本語 (Glorious Nippon)

    in the Options Menu ._.

But then again, it’s an ‘English Voiceover’ pack. I wonder if it contains english texts for the menus

    *fingers crossed*

    • xXDGFXx

      >Glorious Nippon

Someone get the PC Master Race and re-caption it for fun :P

Warning. I’ve heard this game has Online Pass meaning you’re locked to using a account of the region you’re importing from. So don’t think you can play the game on your US account.

  • Bloodios

Hmm… I suppose not all Dullahans are as beautiful as Celty…

By the way, that voice pack DLC is pretty neat.

  • mockturtle

So does this include English text too, or is that already included? I ordered the limited edition Vita bundle and I’m trying to figure out if I can play the actual game that comes with it. =

  • artemisthemp

To bad Vita only support 1 account active ad the time.
