Believe It Or Not That Giant Mecha Is In Mugen Souls Z

By Spencer . March 14, 2013 . 12:50am

Mugen Souls Z has a new Ultimate God Sylma to plan as. After waking up from a long slumber, Sylma sets out to gather power from other gods to seal an unknown force. Along the way she runs into Chou-Chou the original character from Mugen Souls and Nao, a hero searching for a legendary weapon. We’re not sure why the game has giant robots and mechanical sharks, but maybe with a series as wacky as Mugen Souls nothing should surprise us.

Mugen Souls Z comes out on April 25 for PlayStation 3.

Is it still going to have that incomprehensible fetish element system? How about the inconsistent localization when it comes over to the states? (“No one knows what Tsundere is, so we’re going to call it Bipolar. BTW, the game is all about Moe, which we’ll never define nor explain. Good luck!”)

Exactly why this game is niche

        niche among niches.

I wouldn’t worry about that, it’s unlikely that NISA will pick this up for localization, due the low sales of the first game.

      • biskmater

Well, there were specific reasons for those low sales, but yes, I too find it unlikely, unless NISA found that memo about not messing with the games, moe fans are serious about their games, I would have been pissed too, if not for the fact that I do not own a PS3.

I know what’s a Tsundere but I guess no one in mugen souls knows that. Do you think NISA going to get this

    Hoping for a localization…

Lol, some parody on Aquarion there.^_^ Can’t wait for this game.^_^

I sincerely hope they refine the ship power up mechanic in this game. In the original, it was just so annoying having to play through the game 4 times to get the ship powerful enough to tackle the deep mugen field on like a 10,000 setting. Never got strong enough to try 1,000,000 +, so I have no idea how annoying it must of been to power up the ship enough for that.

A mecha is all you need to convince me~ I’m sold on this one.

  • Rogerrmark

The first one never impressed me,to tell the truth.Just hope they fix the overall mechanics.

I know I’m in the small camp here but I hope to see this come over. While Mugen Souls was deeply flawed for many reasons – the moe kill system having no logic to it and the questionable translation choices not being in the least of them – I saw a lot of good ideas that, if polished, could lead to to another fun, quirky series.

There was the potential for good there, hopefully they’ll bring it out.
