Introducing New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl’s Racoona Sheldon

By Ishaan . May 7, 2013 . 9:00am

Atlus have released a new trailer for New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl, introducing Racoona Sheldon, one of the game’s new characters. Racoona is a paladin of noble descent, but tends not to place importance on things like glory. Instead, she’s easily distracted by delicious food. Watch the trailer below:

New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl will be released on June 27th in Japan. The game will have two separate modes—one with fixed story characters like Racoona, and a Classic mode where you can create your own party of characters like in previous Etrian Odyssey games.

    Sounds like Shizuka Itou. Confirm?

    • CobbleCake

      Yes, source? The official website.

  • Zenthos

Hopefully we will have an option for Japanese voices. Oh, and that background music was fantastic.

    • Hraesvelgr

      Not likely.

    • AkuLord3

      Yuzo Koshiro doesn’t disappoint~

    • Temuthril

Never happened in the past with any game developed by Atlus, so very unlikely.

  • Wafflenaut

Can’t wait for the soundtrack, that should help tide me over until it’s overseas release.

  • Yoona

My god, the music is amazing!

    I wants to play this.

Racoona? Why does that make me think of Appalachia?

  • Kelohmello

God dammit this music is sex. You don’t need to do anymore atlus, just gimme the game in english already.

  • MikeTxn

Sorry, but the FOE battle theme sounded a little weird.

Anyway, liking Racoona so far. I always liked the Protector skills, although every time I used either Front Guard or Back Guard, the monsters attacked the other row.

    • AkuLord3

Ummm that’s cuz its not the FOE theme…its the first battle theme in the game, Initial Strike. that’s probably why it sounds weird~. It started to play the FOE theme but changed it for the video

      • MikeTxn

Yes, I know the music shifted from FOE theme to Initial Strike. I was referring to the trumpets (or however are they called) during the few seconds we heard the FOE theme.

        Sorry if I’m being nitpicky.

  • XypherCode

Oh sweet! So they talk in battle scenes now. XD

  • sfried

I like how this video teaches you “BUFFS ARE IMPORTANT” and that not every game relies on grinding to solve problems.

  • remote_viewer

    Er… “Lacuna,” maybe?
