New Etrian Odyssey’s Stalwart Medic Helps The Hero Solve The Game’s Main Mystery

By Spencer . May 13, 2013 . 1:00pm

Atlus re-imagined Etrian Odyssey and created a detail story for New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl. The tale begins when you meet Frederica, an amnesiac girl inside a ruin. Simon Yorke wants to solve the mystery behind the ruin so he shares a goal with the hero.

Simon will be a useful ally since he knows about ancient civilizations and is a healer. The team’s medic has skills like Cure, Area Cure, Healing, Regenerate, Bind Recovery, Resurrection, and Refresh which negates poison. Skills can be leveled up so Refresh can provide an antidote for an entire row of warriors.

New Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl comes out on June 27 for Nintendo 3DS.

Ah that 2nd Stratum but yeah the medic…can’t play an Rpg without one especially Etrian Odyssey

Though I kinda hope they drop his overpowered Immunize skill. That move was fun to use, but horribly balanced.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about this remake having the music re-done in a non synth style, but between watching these videos (the music really does sound gorgeous and the earlier news about the Synth style music being an option, I think I can handle it.

You should check out the Super Arrange albums, especially the EO4 one. You’re missing out if you keep holding on to the FM synth version.

I still want to know if they removed Immunize. And the second stratum music was lovely.

well even if they didn’t drop it, you don’t have to learn it. Thats the beauty of EO, you play it your way.

It felt almost like cheating, but post game could be tough even with it. (Not that I really mind if they remove it, though I admit I was guilty of abusing it.)

Also, the first game’s sountrack was my favorite and I am not disapointed with the remix so far. I’m now definitely psyched for this, I’m sure I will enjoy both “normal” and classic mode. :)

    So what’s with the sword?

    • Suicunesol

      He performs surgery with it.

Amnesia of course! Can’t be a JRPG without amnesia.

    • JohnNiles

I’m just going to ignore that part of the plot. -_- *smashes head into desk to erase memory*

  • gamerdude

This game needs to come to EU simply because I bloody lost my game and can’t find it.

Besides the original EO is absolutely heavenly RPG-goodness!

What was going on in that last scene with the other two?
