In the screenshot for this article, you can see several bare polygons on Snake’s right leg’s skirt-thingy
I am pointing this out because… I feel happy relief knowing that this game has not touched the uncanny valley yet, or that it hasn’t rendered next gen system gaming as a bare improvement (as a lot of people have said this generational leap is very minimal), and there are still space in the video game industry for graphic improvement aside from resolution bump (so there can still be something people can look up to, and be marveled at in years to come).

      Dats not Snake.

Bu lt yeah, there’s always room for improvement in computer graphics.

      • Peace Legacy

crud, my bad, totally forgot about the mysterious co-patient buddy

  • Tom

I hope to see David Hayter there :)

  • KuchikiSentou

    MGS V Castlevania, Pro Evo!!

    • $36598391

As long as it’s a new Side Scrolling Castlevania made by Igarashi
A remake of Castlevania III in the style of Dracula X Rondo of Blood would be really cool to see on the 3DS

      • KuchikiSentou

3DS has had its chance. And blown it, to my mind.
Give others a chance. Especially the VITA.
Just want to see LoS 2 in play. And I’m done with FIFA so back to Pro I go. MGS V is a given.

        • $36598391

Konami hasn’t even done very much for the 3DS in NA
They need to bring over Beyond the Labyrinth and I’ve been waiting for the VITA to get more rpgs in NA

          • KuchikiSentou

Konami doesn’t have any VITA titles. Hardly any at most.

          • $36598391

I didn’t have Konami on mind when I said “I’ve been waiting for the VITA to get more rpgs in NA”

Though it would be really cool to see a remake of SOTN on VITA

          • Ferrick

so i guess metal gear solid HD edition doesn’t count as konami’s ?

          • KuchikiSentou

Hardly any, I said. I’m also waiting on news for the VITA version of Zone of the Enders HD.

          • $36598391

I would definatly get that when it comes out
I enjoyed the hell out of the two ZotE games on PS2

Silent Hill 2/3 HD and Resident Evil Code Veronica X/RE4 HD need to be released on Vita as well

          • KuchikiSentou

I wonder if Kojima will give his response to the question of a ZoE sequel as well.

        • M’iau M’iaut

Let’s please try and keep the 3DS v Vita wars elsewhere. This thread isn’t even about either system. Thanks.

          • KuchikiSentou

Just saying. Another Castlevania 3DS in 6 months?
Plus, series need to move forward, not rehash old titles.

          • $36598391

Keep in mind None of the Lords of Shadow games were made by Igarashi
look at Final Fantasy XIII, that is what happens when a series only moves forward without looking back at what made past games so great
There hasn’t been a new Stage based Castlevania or a new Metroidvania in quite a few years

          • KuchikiSentou

I haven’t been able to get in on this popular ragging on Final Fantasy. I played XIII-2 and didn’t find anything wrong, but that’s another matter.
I’m not saying that the next Castlevania should be like Skyrim, just saying that we can’t expect creativity to be present where the same formula is stuck to with every iteration of a game. It’s popular to expect that, but I don’t think it’s good creatively.
If Igarashi finds a way to keep the same formula but arrive at it, implement it in a different fashion which is apparent to fans and newcomers alike, that will always be welcome, how that can be done remains to be seen.

That said absolutely looking forward to LoS2.

          • KuchikiSentou

There isn’t any war going on here. If there is, we all know who the winner is. I’m saying that Castlevania would have more room to explore more opportunities on device it hasn’t been on. Certainly not one on which a title has been already been recently released.

No one is trying to start anything here. Mirrors of Fate wasn’t met with rave reviews; just alluding to the fact that it needed to be more than it was. I stated a fact and keeping the discussion about ‘Vania while your comment has nothing to do with Konami. Just jumping to outlandish conclusions.

          • I believe Miau said what he said with certain comments you made in a recent article about your console preferences in mind.

While you’re most welcome to have your personal preferences, we generally like to keep our comments section civil and free of childish nonsense like, “I don’t want to become Nintendo elite so I won’t buy a 3DS”.

You may feel a warning at this stage is harsh, but the mods’ job is to look out for trouble and squash it early on. Please don’t bring this sort of thing up again. 3DS owners on Siliconera don’t exhibit this sort of behaviour. We expect Vita owners to behave themselves as well.

As for future potential 2D Castlevania games, the fact that Mirror of Fate was released on a particular platform does not mean in the slightest that other CVania games cannot be released for the same platform at a later point. The system the game was on has no bearing on the kind of game it was. There is no “fact” here.

The only fact is that people didn’t like the game. That’s it. No chances on any platform have been blown. If that were the case, a number of games that received less-than-stellar reviews wouldn’t have gone on to have better sequels.

          • KuchikiSentou

Well, whether or not my comments on a different article, talking about my desire for a 3DS on seeing the trailer for Project X Zone are the basis for Miau’s comment here is the reason for that comment remains to be seen. I didn’t say anything that is not born of fact. Civil people wouldn’t take that as incitement or whatever is being insinuated in this instance. I liked Mirrors of Fate but the fact I was stating was that it wasn’t met with the reception it deserved. There were articles prior to the launch of the title interviewing the developer as to the choices they made regarding the platform and among the questions posed was the proverbial hardware question.

My comments do not instigate anybody or denigrate any platform. I’m merely mystified as to how what I said can be thus construed. I keep my comments pertinent to the subject matter and I wish responders to my comments would do the same. Whether or not that is the case is a whole other matter apparently.

          • I know why Miau responded to you because we discussed the matter prior to his reply. It isn’t a question of your comments being misconstrued, it’s a question of trying to avoid future problems based on your past comments.

Your initial reply to Derek had absolutely nothing to do with MoF, merely your disdain for the 3DS. While that’s completely fine and you’re welcome to your opinion, your past comments gave us reason to step in. This is the second time you’ve taken a discussion off the rails into 3DS vs. Vita territory.

          • KuchikiSentou

My response to Derek was precisely about Mirrors of Fate; this is the misconstrual I spoke of. My initial comment was on the titles I was excited to see and the response to that was a hypothetical 3DS iteration of the series; one of which came out not too long ago on the platform mentioned to lukewarm reception critical and/or commercial. I merely acknowledged this fact and deposited a hypothetical alternative however unlikely it may be, and I’m being accused of steering the conversation.
            I vehemently think not.
