Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, an updated version of Ragnarok Odyssey with new skills, monsters and more, is headed to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in North America this Winter.

Marvelous USA and Xseed will be publishing the game in North America, while GungHo Online Entertainment America will publish the game in Europe. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be at Marvelous USA’s booth at this year’s E3, too.

Other games Marvelous are bringing to E3 include: Killer is Dead, Rune Factory 4, Valhalla Knights 3 and Ys: Memories of Celceta.

    I want to be excited…. I do

Maybe I’ll just buy it to support XSEED. Save data from RO1 transfers right?

  • Chrystofax

    When’s winter in the US?

    • TheExile285

Serious question? Must not live in America

      Its December – March

      …..according to Google

      • Ni

      Around 6 months from now

      • Chrystofax

Ah thanks, I guess I’ll import it when its out unless it comes out locally I suppose

  • It’s for PS3 too?

I might actually get it, then…

    • Yeah i’d rather play this on the PS3 too

  • TiredOfMyOldUsername

Nice i’m definitely getting the PS3 version.

  • Spirit Macardi

Alright, the PS3 version is coming too :D

I’m eager to play this, since I tried Ragnarok Online 2 and found it depressingly lacking. So it’ll be good to play something Ragnarok related that actually has some awesome gameplay and content.

  • Chris Yuen

I got the original Ragnarok Odyssey, but I’m a bit iffy about this one. If I knew there was going to be a PS3/Vita cross-over play version coming out eventually, I probably should have held off my purchase when I thought it was “exclusively” for the Vita…oh well. At least the publishers can reach out to more potential buyers with RO:Ace. Wishing them the best of luck.

  • Go2hell66

Great news enoyed the hell out of ragnarok oddysey so will definitely be getting this as well

  • Brandonmkii

Sweet, definitely going to get the ps3 version.

  • pimpalicious

I almost asked “not XSeed?” then remembered the name change.

    • Pyrotek85

      Same here

  • DesmaX

Well, I’ll pick this one on release, looks pretty good.

And, there’s any good hunting games on the PS3? Can’t really think of one

  • Cool, so glad it’s for both systems =)

  • eilegz

excelent news hopefully some crossplay between vita and ps3

  • Vash bane

sweet glad I waited for info about this…
    now the serious questions.
does this mean there will be cross play between the two?
and are they different in anyway?

  • DanijoEX

Hot damn! I will get this on Day 1 in winter.

  • DanijoEX

Hot damn! I will get this on Day 1 in winter.

  • Ståle Laastad

    nice, glad i waited!
included DLC and tweaks are welcome.

  • Learii

yes yes YESSSSSSSSS thank you I been waiting for ps3 version

  • Juuu

    Oh, NICE! Despite liking the demo, I skipped RO at first, but now since playing MH3U, I’m on a TOTAL hunting action game kick! I hope it makes it out by the holidays! ;w;

  • May get it on PS3, but the game was originally for Vita… I guess I see if I get a Vita until and around Winter to decide.

  • Though I knew it. It is a relief ti see the official news on it.
This winter huh… I think I know that my Christmas gift will be ;)

Edit: Whoa… Valhalla Knights? Did I miss the localization news on that?

  • Yes! I’m getting the PS Vita version, this is a game I think I’ll enjoy more playing it in a handheld than in a main-console.

    • Testsubject909

Quite honestly speaking here. Using the potions via the touchscreen was far more comfortable than via the button combinations offered.

  • The-Beast

Xseed where’s Senran Kagura ? I’ve been wainting for news on that one for a while now.

  • Slayven19

I’m getting it on ps3, hope the game has a decent online community

    • Testsubject909

When Ragnarok Odyssey first came out and even a few months afterwards, I had no difficulty finding a fun group of strangers to play with.

  • Aristides

Will save data from the first RO be able to be carried onto Ace on Vita? If so, I’m game.

    • Testsubject909

I hope that those saves are connected to our PSN account and not the cartridge. I lost my cartridge and I have yet to repurchase Ragnarok Odyssey to see if the backed up save I had will load unto a new cartridge.

  • artemisthemp

And I guess EU will have to wait 9 month or so on this version
