A Slew of Popular Digimon Appear in Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode

By Laura . June 27, 2013 . 12:20pm

In addition to previously announced new arrivals, many more popular Digimon will be present in Digimon World Re:Digitize as well. Included are entries from the ImperialDramon line, including PailDramon, ImperialDramon Fighter Mode, XV-mon, Stingmon, and ImperialDramon Paladin Mode. Screenshots of these Digimon can be seen below.

XV-mon is the evolution of V-mon that is said to be the original species that V-Dramon originated from. Its punches and kicks are powerful enough to break boulders the size of mountains.

Stingmon is an unusual Insect Digimon in that it is humanoid. With high intelligence and quick reaction time, he specializes in silencing his opponent in one strike.

PailDramon is the classic DNA evolution of XV-mon and Stingmon that combines the two. It has both speed and power that it inherited from Dragons and Insects.

ImperialDramon (Fighter Mode shown above) is the evolution of PailDramon. It is an Ancient Dragon Digimon with high intelligence. When it transforms into Fighter Mode, it unlocks all of its power—said to be enough to destroy a planet.

ImperialDramon Paladin Mode is the fused form of Fighter Mode and Omegamon. With Omegamon’s Holy Knight powers, Paladin Mode is the legendary Holy Knight Digimon said to have started the Royal Knights (although, he himself is not a part of the group, and is unlikely to be a character in the scenario). This is ImperialDramon’s final form.

In addition, scans from the August edition of V-Jump magazine show three new Digimon that will appear in the new game scenarios. Appearing in the Demon Lords arc is Lucemon (with a new illustration). Despite his childlike appearance, he holds a great power. Apparently Barbamon has a hand in causing Lucemon to fall and evolve into his third stage, Lucemon Falldown Mode—also known as the Demon Lord of Pride.

Meanwhile, appearing in the X-Antibody arc, Death-X-mon is a fearsome Ultimate (final) level Digimon who wishes only to destroy the Digicore within every Digimon. He evolved from DORUmon when, after evolving far too many times, DORUmon’s powers started running out of control.

(Some background information: According to previous Digimon mythos, a Digicore is what makes every Digimon unique and contains the code that makes up each Digimon. When the core is damaged, the Digimon dies. Usually Digimon can copy a portion of their data into their reincarnated Digiegg before they die, but if the Digimon dies from unnatural causes such as sickness or battles, there is no such opportunity and the previous incarnation’s memories are lost.)

Finally, also appearing in the Demon Lords arc is a completely new Digimon. Ogremon was once nothing more than a servant to Barbamon, but through the **power of friendship**, he tries to do what’s right and evolves to his final form to save the protagonists—Titamon. Ironically, despite his rather noble reasons for evolving, Titamon is born from all the malice against a group of Digimon called the Twelve Olympian Gods. His infinite power has earned him the alias of One-Man Army. You can also raise Titamon as a partner.

Do want. All these digimon news is killing me though. I bet when its finally confirmed for western release I will die due shock of happiness.

  • Spirit Macardi

I wish that this will come over. I also think that if it does Namco should stop being cheapskates for once and go union for the dub, that way we can get Steve Blum back to voice BlackWarGreymon!

Though, even getting Josh Seth to return to voice acting just once more to voice Tai’s cameo would be great.

    • Hinataharem

I will take straight Japanese dub with English text if that’s the only way we will get this game. That’s how Project X Zone’s localization became a possibility.

      • Spirit Macardi

With that game it made sense though, since it didn’t do well in Japan and will probably do worse here, so there was reason not to pour more money into it.

With Digimon though, not only have the original series dubs been coming out on DVD, but the dub of Xros Wars is set to premiere as well. Once it does, a demand for Digimon merchandise will no doubt return, and Namco would have a good reason to spend some extra dough on localizing a game like this.

        • Aesma

…to be honest, even if this game did well in Japan, the cost of hiring voice actors would decrease the benefit of selling this game overseas.

There’s already a lot of Digimon games missing localization (Lost Evolution, Xros Wars, and the original Re:Digitize).
Well, it’s true that some of the titles are not as good as this one but at this point, I think asking for dub is too much…

EDIT: this is just my opinion but those who will buy the game will buy it regardless if it’s dub or not, because it’s already fortunate enough for us that it got localized…

    • Renaldi Saputra

nope nope, being Japanese with english subtitle is exactly better
      or maybe dual voice

      • DyLaN

I honestly don’t know why some ppl so against english dubs….. Unless the dubs of the Digimon series are bad.

Personally, all I care for atm is whether can I get it in english form.

        • Renaldi Saputra

english dub usually don’t stay to the original.. they usually change many things in digimon and eventually become weird, unreasonable, and lame..

for example: digimon’s name, hissatsu waza’s name, characters’ name, basic concept, etc

one of english dubbed digimon game is digimon rumble arena (1&2) a.k.a. Tamers Battle Evo & Battle Chronicle

  • Daobs_

This HAS to get localized. I’m dying for it!

We should make an online petition or something, and then mail it to Namco Bandai JP/EU/USA.

A little childish, i know, but i’d do anything to be able to play the game…

    • LightGenx

Childish? Nah, a lot of people grew up alongside Digimon and would kill for this game to come over, me being one of those people.

      • John Diamond

i wasn’t much of a fan of the digimon games. they were fun but technically speaking was pretty bad (look at digimon world data squad. the load times…)

now it seems like namco bandai have made a pretty awesome game and now it ain’t being localised? it’s a shame really.

      • Daobs_

So, anyone up for creating an online petition or something like that?

    • Steven Higgins

Let’s hope it sells batter than the original. That way it has a better chance.

      • Renaldi Saputra

now in amazon.co.jp it’s on rank 54, yesterday was 18 (cannot reach top 10).. it dropped kinda slightly..
meanwhile the previous PSP version could stand on number 2 on first sales and didn’t drop slightly through days

        • Steven Higgins

But I heard the PSP version DIDN’T sell well.

          • Renaldi Saputra

85k for its first week, and 35k for its second week..
for a PSP game, those amount of sales can be considered very well..
there’re rarely PSP games that were still sold at 30k++ for their second week..

even Sword Art Online Infinity Moment only had around 15k sales for its second week, despite its big sales (135k) for first week.. Summon Night too

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

      Besides learning a language

      • Daobs_

Learning japanese is on my list, but even that wouldn’t help me play this game, since it’s region locked, right?

        • You can learn to use Japanese sites to buy the games/system…? ._.

        • Exkaiser

There is the original PSP version of the game, still.

        • FitzpatrickPhillips

I have a JP 3DS. Regardless, I already played the PSP version so no need for this one, and there is always that optino for you.

    • Surgeon of Death

Digimon FTW! IF the localize this my partner of choice would be….

    • Renaldi Saputra

do u think playing this digimon game is childish? I don’t think even kid below 10 can understand and finish this game..

    • Why can’t Siliconera just hide all news pertaining to this unless it’s a localization? This makes it worse :/

  • SunOatBoatMatadorQuattro

This is wrong. Power of friendship is written in shiny capitals!

  • Still bummed that this game doesn’t have any form of WiFi play :(
I don’t feel like playing this alone, so this really killed the sale for me.

    • Multiplayer was confirmed for Coliseum play. I’m not sure if it’s local play only or WiFi.

      • There’s been confirmation of “Ranking” multiplayer, but I have no clue as to what that means. It could be just downloading player data and then fighting AI.

Friend vs. friend action needs to happen!

        • Ranking multiplayer is uploading your data to lists online, and you can compare your rank to others, I think.

But what I meant was, friend-friend (up to 4 ppl). I’m just not sure if it’s wireless or Wi-Fi, too.

          • Christopher Nunes

Local play only… someone who has the game confirms this. There’s no online battles between friends… kinda a miss opportunity there.

  • Steven Higgins

Okay so Ogremon is an Adult level, then Digivoves to the Perfect level SkullSatamon (usually through Jogress with Devimon, although in Adventure Devimon just absorbed him instead of digivoving, I guess because their consciousness remained separate) then finally to the Ultimate level (?) Taitamon.
Since SkullSatamon is not mentioned and assuming Taitamon is an Ultimate level then I guess this particular Ogremon Warp Digivoved.

A little trivia, when the Digimon anime first cam to the U.S. Ogremon was at first listed as an Ultimate (Perfect) level instead of a Champion.

    • Taitamon is the final level of Ogremon. I’m not sure how they’re handling that 3rd level in between (Ultimate / Perfect).

      • Exkaiser

In the games he usually evolves into ShadowWereGarurumon…

        • Renaldi Saputra

blackweregarurumon? well, since ogremon is a wolf

      • Renaldi Saputra

        its perfect lv is digitamamon..
and the name is Titamon, refered from Titan (in japanese it’s pronounced as “Taitan”)

    • GigaStickLance

The official line as seen on the V-Jump scans is:

    • Renaldi Saputra

no skullsatamon I guess?? it evolves into digitamamon

  • kamikki

    I waaaant this gaaaaaaame

  • Christopher Nunes

I am SO impatient for this game I want to just import the game from Japan in the end, but I need to import a Japanese 3DS as well and I currently do not have enough to import both of them.

I REALLY want Namco Bandai to just announce a localization of it already!

  • Sardorim

So many new Digimon… If only the west could enjoy them too!

  • Alexander Marquis Starkey

Hopefully the full Wormmon line is in. Stingmon’s Mega form looks pretty cold.

  • TheExile285

    Come on Bamco, localize this!

  • Exkaiser

Found some art of Titamon on one of the wikis:

Looks pretty cool, though he kind of has more of a dragon-style head, like WarGreymon…

    • Renaldi Saputra

so it wields a demon blade.. I thought it’s a staff or reinforced bone

      • A blade made from Skull Greymon’s remains.

        • Renaldi Saputra

I see, still curious about its hissatsu waza’s name

  • Renaldi Saputra

    it’s not Deaxmon, Laura..

    • Thanks for letting me know. Some information slips past me T_T (Then I discovered the wiki 8D)

  • DyLaN

    >Ogremon was once nothing more than a servant to Barbamon, but through the **power of friendship**, he tries to do what’s right and evolves to his final form to save the protagonists—Taitamon.
    Oh you XD

    • Renaldi Saputra

      huh? what’s funny of that?

      • DyLaN

The “**power of friendship**” part. That and my comment on OT abt latest DeSu2TA episodes XD

        • Renaldi Saputra

          oh about that :/

    • It is also ironic that Titamon was also said to be spawned out of resentment of the Olympus XII.

      • Renaldi Saputra

so it’s clearly based on the mythology

  • For classics sake, we get all eight of Digimon Adventure’s main Digimon, All of the 4 Dark Masters, then 2 of Adventure 02.

  • deadMastershiro

I hope this comes over also a new digimon world 4 with more digievo and more attacks than slash.

    • Renaldi Saputra

yea, I hope there will be a new version of digimon action RPG

      • deadMastershiro

Sorry i haven’t replied in awhile. Also needs more difficulties.

  • UnitSmiley

    I want dis.

  • vanhyde

this is gonna be my ultimate digimon game

just throw this game in US, and u will get much money in day one bamco
    trust me

  • Mysterious Figure

Pls help getting this Game localized by signing this Petition:

Many will think a Petition won’t work well, but the Management of NB
said it is the best way for us to do something. Spread it as far as you
can, we need a LOT Digimon Fans to reach this goal!
