Look At All Of Those Dragon’s Crown Treasures

By Spencer . July 15, 2013 . 12:02am

Dragon’s Crown is a loot collecting game at heart. While you’re exploring dungeons, you can use the right analog stick to control a cursor. Move it on top of a chest and you can summon Rannie the thief to open it up. Treasures are ranked between E (the lowest) to S (the highest). When you complete a dungeon you can appraise items and equip your character with a shiny new sword or pawn it for gold.

The rarest treasures you can find is artwork designed by Vanillaware. Dragon’s Crown boasts over 20 hours of gameplay for each character’s story and online matchmaking to make it easy to find a party. Dragon’s Crown comes out for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on August 6 in North America.

The important thing here is that COOKING is now a PARTY EVENT!

As in if you have 4 people in your party, everyone can cook at the exact same time on the same screen.

Also, 4 player local coop is possible on the PS3! We already knew about the online multiplayer but local coop was not elaborated on. Unless I had somehow missed that from an earlier article.

    • 無尽合体ブランタコブスキ

this would be great if you could load character data from vita save files

      anyone know if it’s possible?

      • z_merquise

You can transfer save data from PS3 to Vita and vice versa.

      • PoweredByHentai

The video clearly says that the Vita and PS3 have interchangeable save data.

    • X_Bacon

I think they did say that on another article. You can also mix local and online coop, which is great IMO. :)

    Tinkerbell?

  • z_merquise

Cooking, PvP, unlockable artwork, long playing time, there was even a mention of a post-game dungeon. Seems like Vanillaware really put a lot of content here.

The only thing missing here are hot springs.

    • AkuLord3

      Oh Yeah~ lol

I keep having the same symptoms every time I watch a preview video for DC. My body shakes, I get goosebumps, my eyes grow bright and wide, and I have this twisted open mouth smile on my face. Doctor, is something wrong with me?

    August ho!

  • Kelohmello

I can’t help but feel like the “Welcome to the world of Dragon’s Crown” at the beginning of the video is a reference to the “Welcome to the DnD world!” line that you hear every time you put a coin in for Dungeons and Dragons arcade.

  • Dominic Hunter

    Oh! Question!

Does this mean I can take my character from my PSVita version into a multiplayer round on my friend’s console version using the Save transfer?! That would be awesome~!

    • LastFootnote

Sure sounds that way. Save data is transferable from Vita to PS3 and vice versa.

  • BenderIsGreat

It supports ad-hoc and online multiplayer. Not sure if that’s what you wanted to know, as both are achieved through Wi-Fi…
