The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Will Have Two Triforces

By Ishaan . August 7, 2013 . 7:21am

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will have not one, but two Triforces, Nintendo have shared.

This is depicted in the game’s logo, which shows a second shadowy Triforce, which is located in a different world from the one Link inhabits.

dam I really wanna know the plot now, i totally loved AlttP, i wonder if dark link will be the last boss again

  • Haseyo

What if…we’re Dark Link, and standard Link is the final boss!

that would be a pretty sick twist actually

    • Lynx

      Oh dear.

      Fund it.

      • AnimusVox

        Kickstarter!! Awayyyy!!

    • nedul

Maybe the entirely new “Dark” Triforce might give us some other “Dark” doppelgangers. Dark Zelda? Maybe even a DARKER Ganon? Darkness everywhere.

      • Haseyo

        Good Guy Ganon D:

  • Tre W

It’s been said that this game takes place well into the future of this timeline, and far beyond the time frame of LTTP. I wonder how far…

  • Chaos_Knight

    Return of Demise? :o

    • James Enk

i hope we see him again at some point in some form

      • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

yeah we already did his name is Ganondorf

        • James Enk

          i don’t think so

          • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

            yes Ganondorf is Demise reincarnated.
He died same way in Twilight Princess.

OoT ending where Zelda and Link partway is the same exact location you fight Demise.

    “shadowy Triforce”
This game sounds less and less interesting the more I see about it.

    • DCBlackbird

maybe Zelda as a whole seems to have lost your taste, I don’t blame you, I was sort of getting tired of it myself until I played Skyward Sword

      • Armane

Not really, I mostly enjoyed Skyward Sword, and even PH.

I was pretty excited about a return of proper top-down Zelda games. But the art style, the reuse of the LTTP world(s), and this ROM hack plot idea, are all pretty uninspired.

        • DCBlackbird

Well as rational folk always say “I’ll have to wait and see”

  • Luis Camargo

Can’t wait about the rumors about how to get the Dark Triforce

  • Bur

So what three traits will this one represent?

    • Andar

      Cowardice, Ignorance, and Meekness?

      • http://www.cubiz.tk/ Auragar

        Works for me. lol

      • DCBlackbird

        what evil wants that?

        • Andar

Maybe they want to swap the two Triforces and keep the good traits for themselves. Makes sense if the Dark Triforce is what leads to evil losing every time.

          • DCBlackbird

lol I’m beginning to wonder how much conflict a world with a cowardly hero, ignorant princess and meek overlord must have

    • Kavyn

I’m going to take a guess and say Sorrow, Destruction and Despair (the three torches that twinrova had to light up in Oracle of Ages/Seasons to bring back Ganon).

  • nedul

I gotta say, the gameplay they showed looks a lot more interesting than it did when this game was first announced. The puzzles using the “drawing on the wall” mechanic look really interesting. Even the combat looks awesome. I don’t think we’ve seen what the bottom screen is gonna show yet, but i did notice that switching items seemed to be quick and easy. My interest in this game is growing…

  • YoshEE

    Two Triforces?

  • Hinataharem

    Oh boy!

  • Fango

    The Anti-Triforce.

  • Göran Isacson

A Dark Triforce. Gotta admit, that sounds like some straight up fanfiction-sounding material… but heck, turning into a painting and hugging walls actually seems to be an interesting gameplay mechanic, so I can probably bear a new story introducing silly elements straight outta nowhere. Seems like this game is saying that Aghanim was a separate person from Ganon as well, so nice to have THAT bit of weirdness cleared up.

  • Gilgamesh2025

If it’s called “Two worlds” it’s only logical that there must be two Triforces as well.

    • leingod

Well, the two worlds were already featured in A Link to the Past and there was only one triforce there.

      • Gilgamesh2025

I have to admit that I never played A Link to the Past; but good to know … :)

  • AnimusVox

This is honestly the first time I’ve read on this, was hoping it’d be for Wii U but it sound pretty ace regardless.

  • Ben Sylvia

Oh Hylia, Ganon made his own Triforce!

    We’re all [redacted]!
