Dragon Quest Monsters 2’s G For Giant Size Monsters

By Spencer . August 14, 2013 . 5:46pm

Dragon Quest Monsters 2 is getting a remake in the same way Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D entered the third dimension. The Nintendo 3DS version, Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Marvelous Mysterious Key, brings both protagonists together. In the original version for Game Boy Color, Enix released a separate game for each hero.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Marvelous Mysterious Key has a revised battle system too that lets players bring up to four monsters to battle. The game has over 800 monsters including monsters from Dragon Quest X. You can recruit new monsters by doing a scout attack which shows you the probability of getting a monster to join your team.

Square Enix also added "Super G Size" monsters which are new for the 3DS remake.

Like other modern entries, Dragon Quest Monsters 2 supports StreetPass, local multiplayer, and online multiplayer so you can fight other trainers throughout Japan. Right now, the game has only been announced for Japan.

Stop reminding that none of the Dragon Quest 3DS games were released outside of Japan.
    It hurts.

    • Hinataharem

I’m still holding on to a thin sliver of hope.

    • It just adds salt to the wound.

  • Antixono

    Come on,we need a localization!

  • LunarKnite

I miss my Warabou! Any hope for a packaged deal of both remakes in the west?

  • ElAbuelo69

    *jaw drop*

Why?!?!?!? Why must we be punished like this? Please localize them!!!

  • Magnumsally

4 Dragon quest 3ds titles. Nothing in the west. Sadness level 10

  • KuroNathan

Oh man I could barely remember this game. I do however remember messing around with my gameshark for an hour on this game >_>

  • Please come here darn it! Looks like we’ve finally got Kaiju in a monster capturing RPG too it seems.

  • FFmax

Is there any way to contact Square Enix to tell them to localize this?

  • MoonlightNYC

So getting this (and hoping that DQXI is being worked on right now)

  • Pockystix

SE and Nintendo really need to help DQ get some footing here in the US, and the monsters series could be a great way to do it.

Hell, with how well the 3DS is doing, DQVII should do fine as well.

Just do something, or else the franchise will be swept under the proverbial rug here. . .

  • JMaster3000

I am not a big DQ fan but this actually looks good.
I love colorful games, might pick up if it comes in the west.

    G-Rank monsters?
