See Exstetra’s Skilled Swordsman, Jin, In Action

By Sunjun . August 23, 2013 . 2:00pm

Furyu has revealed the next trailer for Exstetra, the RPG in which you give people special powers by kissing them. You play as Ryoma, an average high school boy, but that doesn’t mean you’re limited to kissing girls, apparently.

In this video, you get to see Jin. He is a member of his school’s kendo club and has participated in inter high school tournaments. Naturally, his weapon as a Prisma Knight is a sword. His special attack Illusion Flash Slash lets him slice his enemy into pieces faster than the human eye can follow.

You can see the rest of the Prisma Knights in the previous trailer. Exstetra will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita on November 7.

  • Martian Wong

In my game, I will limit myself to kissing girls only.

    • Ric Vazquez

      100% Agreed

    • Sardorim

You really wont have an option I believe. Also why deny yourself a badass party member because of his gender? It’s just a kiss. You don’t even have to french’em either unless that’s your thing.

      • Martian Wong

        NO french, no way.

  • Malon

Show us the kiss alreadyyyyyy :(

    • Espoir

      Saving the best for last

  • Pdugna

woah you can get guys in this game? didnt expect that.

  • klkAlexar

    Oh, a gay option. Neat.

    • Time Sage

The second of two gay options. Another one was shown in the initial announcement for the game

  • Unsigned Artist Suicide Help

    Yaoi chwan

  • Presea

Damn that’s awesome, get the ladies and gentlemen alike.

  • XiaomuArisu

And in the end he doesnt kiss the guysXD
    Tentacles? Alright
But Guys kissing Guys? To much for a game

    • Time Sage

It happens in real life and has for thousands of years, what make it too much

      • XiaomuArisu

        Not for meXD
For the guys that make this game.
        Thats the Joke!

    • Ric Vazquez

  • equalequation

Dialogue at the end : “What are you doing!? M-my first kiss……I’m not forgiving you for this!”

So, that confirms it, I guess.

    • Göran Isacson

Ha ha, really? Can’t say I was expecting that, almost thought they were going to have some alternative for the dudes… but no, the developers are apparently that bold!

      • equalequation

Either that, or they’re the biggest trolls ever. XD Not that there was much wiggle room in that line, though! And trolling in advertising material this way is not worth the trouble if there isn’t something in it.

    • Steven Higgins

Just hope it’s not one of those accidental yaoi kisses they do most of the time

      • Firekitty

Yeah, I’d be really disappointed if they pulled something like ‘lol, the protag tripped and fell on Jin’s lips, that totally counts as a kiss!’ >_>

I’m kinda hoping the protagonist is just, like, a total philanderer and revels in the opportunity to amass himself a harem. It would be a nice change from all the harems where the main is either totally oblivious or downright terrified/uninterested in any of the guys or girls who flock to him or her.

  • leingod

I won’t kiss the guy when I play. Don’t care if he doesn’t get his powers.

    • Barrylocke89

And if the story forces it on you? Not to be rude but if that happens will you just stop playing?

      • leingod

Nah, of course not. I’ll avoid it only if it’s optional.

        • harmonyworld

what if he’s a powerful party member crucial to beating the game?

          • leingod

if it’s optional, I doubt that’s the case. There are a lot of other characters from what I’ve seen of the game.

  • harmonyworld

    Viva la Revolution!
Thank you, game, for not being closed minded!
Now if only there were fem protag option and I could have my yuri~

    • Firekitty

Exactly. They should add a few more male characters to even things out, and let you choose between a male and female protagonist…Everyone gets what they want, the game sells twice as much and maybe even has a chance at an English-language release.
